I've always fancied us more away from home last few years though. I know our home form was excellent in 13-14 season but I just think we can come unstuck playing against lesser sides intent on parking the bus excuse the cliché.
The next few home games will tell the tale with us playing Swansea West Brom and Leicester. The latter being the toughest of the lot but you'd be hoping for a min of 7 points from that...9 actually.
Yeah, I'm hoping this display will provide enough confidence to allow the players to keep trying to be creative even at stalemate half an hour in when they've got 10 men in their area.

I'm thinking this is similar to 'that' season in many ways, cos if this side get an early goal I fancy us to decimate anyone.

The difference is klopp has proved he can get them turning scorelines round again too & can kinda get the defence defending, (most of the time at least) which is nice.

If we can start threatening from set pieces it will help massively.

It's hardly a problem that we seem a lot better in the counter attack. We hardly had any kind of result away at a top side and now we've got two at once. Surely these are the most difficult games no matter how you look at it, and while we got beaten on the counter by Palace and need to improve and change how we play at home there's no doubt that we will be able to.

It's always the problem of the bigger better club, to have to break down a team that would love a point. The difference now is that every side in the league will be like that. City, Chelsea, Arse would all settle for a draw at Anfield now, so there's no doubt that Klopp will be concentrating on breaking down stubborn defences on the training ground from now on. With the kind of movement they all showed yesterday I don't think we need a load of new personnel to be able to beat most sides, home or away, once he gets them clicking.

Coutinho was fucking brilliant.
Was that his fourth goal in 3 games? Think so.

His link up play with Firmino was a joy to watch.
I've been saying this for a while now, make room for Coutinho, make runs ahead of him and the ball will come.

Easily our best player atm.

It kinda makes you wonder why Benteke is being used more for a bit of impact. You could see Coutinho suffering the same frustrations he had last season, with a relatively static forward ahead of him (when he's played behind Benteke).

To give Benteke credit, his movement is good and he's had some good one-touch link up play with Coutinho, but he doesn't give him the type of run that he relishes looking for.

Coutinho likes to carry the ball, move across the back line and then pick his pass with weight for a quick player to run onto. Benteke will often hold it on the counter and bring others into play, which is a good option too, but it's something that goes against our natural ability to counter, especially away from home.

And then there's Sturridge to return imminently (and Hendo making runs from deeper).

Lots to be excited about...

I thought Milner was very good, he popped up everywhere on the pitch and covered a lot of ground, which is crucial in the system Klopp wants us to play. Yeah, that pass yesterday was shit, but he's an important part of the team for a reason. The fact that he missed the Palace game and we lost isn't a coincidence, I think Can is far more likely to make way for Henderson than him.

It's not so much a lack of quality...it's more a lack of composure, experience and naivety which have cost us at home this season and certainly last.

Villa and Palace did us on the counter and won their respective game, Sunderland and Hull dug out draws against us by parking the bus, the same with Blackburn and Bolton in the Cups, we fucked up a 2 goal lead against Leicester. Then this season there's the shambles at home to West Ham, conceding late goals to drop 2 points vs Norwich and S'ton and then Palace beat us once again albeit it wasn't as comfortable as last season.

That shit needs to change before we can really start going places, but there's no doubt we're in for some exciting times.

He ran his bollocks off yesterday. He was shattered by the second half & that pass showed it. He 's dug fucking deep to get through that game, & once or twice when he broke forward with it you could see it, he just couldn't push on fast enough.

He had a great game, I'm sure those at the match appreciated it all the more cos I think we probably only got to see a third of his work on camera.

Kolo Toure, what a man.

Klopp comes out of that very well, a genuinely open, decent man. I was trying to make out what we was chatting to Pellegrini about. At one point I'm sure (after Pellegrini seemed to ask him about how he was settling in) he replied "It's a good club, a good club" and smiled.

Lovely...

Yup he has a disarmingly confident, friendly and open air about him, must be very hard to get under his skin

I reckon Kolo coming to LFC brought about a great Indian summer for the guy. He was sidelined at Citeh beforehand but really picked up on the respect and seniority he's been afforded since he came to us.

Liked the whole clip in fact. It almost made me feel ashamed of laughing at Sterling as they all came down the tunnel after the final whistle. Almost.

I completely agree, Milners contribution often gets missed, and it was telling that we got done by Palace when he wasn't there. However, if there is one person in the squad who could do that job, and probably do it better, its Henderson.

Couldn't help myself..

Nicely put.

He could done better for their goal with a poor clearance but I thought Skrtel's performance yesterday went a bit unnoticed. He was in full on fucking beast mode...always in the right place at the right time. And what a volley. He was excellent.
