Not open for further replies.
-Liverpool out-run Man City 110.36km to 108.46km
-Only Alberto Moreno and Lucas won the ball back more times than Firmino (eight)
-Only centre-backs Martin Skrtel and Dejan Lovren made more clearances than Lallana
-Lallana ran further than any other Liverpool player bar Lucas and Milner
-Lallana made more sprints (53) than any other Reds player
-Liverpool have scored as many goals in their last two away Premier League games (seven) as they managed in their 11 before that.
-Coutinho has scored more goals against Man City than any other Premier League team
-This game saw Man City concede three goals in the first half of a competitive game at the Etihad Stadium for just the second time (2-3 v Manchester United in the FA Cup in Jan 2012, the other)
-This is only the second time that Man City have conceded four goals in a competitive game at the Etihad (Man City 2-4 Aston Villa in the League Cup in September 2012 the other)
-It’s the first time they have conceded four at home in the Premier League since February 2003 against Arsenal. That game, at Maine Road, ended 5-1

Btw poor taste there from Firmino doing a shooting celebration, you know considering...

Why was it rapey when Brendan was all touchy feely with the players but cool and funny when Klopp does it?

I can't answer that one myself. Maybe Rodgers looks like a pedo?

I hear bay-area every time the commentator mentions Bellerin.

*logs back off again*

Bloody hell @cochyn my Welsh amigo - 6000 post and only 9 likes. I'm happy to get you into double figures my friend 😉

Calling all 6CM's 'Like' @cochyn stuff more! - Forget about the fact he said 'Hope' and not 'How'. Typo's can happen to anyone.... 😗
The 'Like' system wasn't introduced right from the start of 6CM so those who have posted a lot more after it was implemented will have tons of 'Likes' (especially those who post dirty pics and video clips). Obviously the vast majority of Cochyn's posts came before the introduction of the 'Like' system and it's not a reflection on him as a poster.

Glad you cleared that up for me Frogster 😉

@premierleague: .@LFC are the first team to score four goals against Man City at the Etihad Stadium in the League

Isnt it that City are the team Coutinho has scored the most goals against of all the teams he's played against in the league?

There's only one way to describe Liverpool's emphatic win at the Etihad yesterday.
They played like Borussia Dortmund at their best under Jurgen Klopp.
It is remarkable how quickly the Reds have embraced the German's methods. And it's remarkable how quickly they have proven effective in the two biggest games of his reign.
The 3-1 win at Chelsea could at least be partly explained by the Londoners going through a rough patch.
But the display against Manchester City – and the first half in particular – was of another order entirely.
We were, to be quite frank, absolutely brilliant.

Neville (during the game - I enjoy it so much more when it's a Manc commentating and we play like this).
Playing with authority, confidence and belief.
Liverpool absolutely scintillating in this first 25 mins
Absolutely brilliant, that is a fantastic pass from Firmino (2nd goal)
That is brilliant, that is absolutely brilliant (3rd goal)
Absolutely magnificent (Can's back heel - 3rd goal)
Everything you want in a (team) performance (commenting after 32 mins)
Man City have been absolutely broken to pieces
The perfect away performance.
Tyler : How good were they ? GN : They were fantastic from the first minute. (after 90 mins)

Fair play to Gnev he called us scoring three after 5 minutes. He could se it long before Pellegrini did.

I think SKY got Joe hart screaming 'Fuck's sake' ... so when the lead commentator apologized, Gnev - who had been very complimentary about Liverpool a moment before - "I guess I should be apologizing for what I just said" (paraphrasing). Cracked me up.

Yeah, he then added 'I bet you've caught me swearing on camera before when Liverpool have scored'.

We're gonna win the league
This is the kind of rollercoaster emotional response we need.

I actually got that texted to me twice last night.

Eight points from the top & the 'top sides' all performing at best inconsistently has people excited.

I've a feeling this season could be completely mental & that I may do as much damage to my heart as I did a couple of years back.

Well if we don't win the league, this is the type of manager who will eventually win us the league.

I've always fancied us more away from home last few years though. I know our home form was excellent in 13-14 season but I just think we can come unstuck playing against lesser sides intent on parking the bus excuse the cliché.
The next few home games will tell the tale with us playing Swansea West Brom and Leicester. The latter being the toughest of the lot but you'd be hoping for a min of 7 points from that...9 actually.
