Match Thread Man City (A) - Sun Feb 23rd 16:30

The points difference between Liverpool and united is more than what tehottenham raspers have.

That’s as good of a performance as we could have hoped for. City are shit.

Didn’t love how we could barely string 5 passes together in the second half but job done.

Endo was fucking immense when came on.

Salah, Dom, Ibou, Virgil all had their best games of the season.

Talk about your big players stepping up.

Now let’s beat Newcastle and gave Forest beat Arsenal so we can put everything into the CL.

A few points.

1) City are shit. I don't think the performance was 'great' when comparing how we've battered them in the past when they were in their pomp, but it was great because we were ruthless and efficient. Next year will be Pep's biggest test as a manager imo - and it will go a long way to defining his greatness.

2) Endo was immense, and you know what bothers me? He should have been doing this since day 1 of the season. I think in baseball, they call it a 'closer'. I think Slot's picked up on it finally, because his presence normally means games are going to 'end' in our favor.

3) I think in light of their cockiness, I really hope Arsenal somehow collapse and finish out of the top 4 ...

I'm pretty sure this is the tactic. We have totally nullified Foden as there is no room in midfield and when we get possession there is some superb passing in midfield to cut through them - those two goals aren't the only time. We look dangerous at virtually every attack.

We've had maybe another 3 occasions we shoulda/coulda scored with better decision making whilst I can't remember Ali being troubled even once at the other end - they are being reduced to shooting from distance.
And the 2nd half was rinse and repeat. Brilliant team performance today. Deserved the third.

Ya I was devo when it seemed Endo was going to leave. If only Trent had his attitude.

It’s a weird season, second place could easily it be below 80 points at this rate.

It's what we needed, an accomplished measured performance against a good team.
People can call city shit all they want, they are still 4th (even though we are now all whopping 20 points ahead of them!!) In the Prem.
We had a gameplan and executed the instructions perfectly.
Love it.

Where did @Bradley watch the game? The jinx gods need him to go there for the rest of the season.
We went to a pizza place called Rudy's which was excellent. Then someone else in the group had a recommendation for a place called Flute near there. But it was rammed so went back down the road to a place called Metrocola. That was busy but could get a seat.

Been on the beers since Friday with a full schedule of water polo matches against big, massive European cunts on Saturday. So need a place with space to sit.

Great result.

It was a good weekend. Will be an annual trip now, imagine they hold this tournament at the same time every year.

Next year will have to see if I can arrange a mini drinkies if times and fixtures align.

Want my own bed now. And sleep. Thank fuck I booked tomorrow off as well.

Yeah they do. The Premier League is an annual event.

Sounds like you had a great time !

I wonder if we'll rotate against Newcastle? TAA looked knackered at the end today? Will he have enough gas to go again, against Gordon and Newcastle?

We saw what happened when we played Quansah against Gordon at St James Park. We got cooked and couldn't play out against their press.
