David Coote

I've convinced myself that he has been blackmailed by a betting syndicate for the last few years. I don't buy into the "anti Liverpool bias" hysteria, but he may have been leant on for match fixing across the board.

That is the tombrown truth, and I'm sticking to it

Imagine you're another ref, you get hacked and now you're being threatened.

This is why we can't let a group who obviously aren't professional (not because they use drugs, but because they work unprofessionally) defend themselves from corruption, or be their own oversight.

There's too much money at play.

We are to believe now that many people knew this guy had videos out that compromised him, and he knew coke dealers, but organized crime were not aware. Ok.

When the league was so against var for a time, I thought it was precisely because of betting. That hasn't proved a problem.

I think it airs tomorrow, and if that's what they're saying then they've been briefed. Clearly before the new vids showed up.

Seems its Keane, Neville and Jill Scott that are saying he shouldnt lose his job. Wright didnt agree with them.
Carra isnt on the show tonight I think.

Just saw it, Carra is on.
Also he said that Coote shouldn't ref any more LFC games and that he's probably done in the PL.

Worth mentioning that the cocaine thing hadn't come out then

Was recorded before the latest allegations wasn't it?

Hairy hands has had his say. He said he's done as a premier league ref but should stay on as EFL similar.

He references Madley who worked his way back up.

Why the interest in what Neville and Carragher say about it? Are they thought to be biased or compromised or something? Genuinely asking.

Former pros who commentate (the latter very poorly), their views have a lot of weight rightly or wrongly.

It's more Sky in general. There's a widely held belief Sky are supporting PGMOL at times to not damage the brand. It's not unwarranted either.

Because they tweet about everything football as soon as it happens but they remained quiet for three days over this... Which makes it pretty obvious that they were waiting to know what they could and couldn't say. It's right to be pissed off that the owner of the TV rights is controlled in some way by the league, and that the presenters and so called experts are their puppets. It's the same reason they didn't mention the Diaz being obviously onside thing during the match, even at half time, while they were spinning a story with the refs.

The Overlap also had Howard Webb on as a guest which I found really weird, and they have Dermot Gallagher on Sky Sports who probably agrees with the refs 95% of the time. Its just nonsense.

They were massively caught out by BeIn sports if I remember rightly. Who played it at HT and analysed the fuck up. Saying it was a major fuck up and heads should roll

Sky were alerted that they couldn't hold it back, so just before the end if HT they played it as almost oh this was a minor mistake.

They also went on that massive moral crusade whenever there was talk of the European league with the top twenty clubs getting together. Neville was especially animated when talking about pricing the ordinary fan out of the game etc.

I don't remember that bit. I was just going bananas that it wasn't a big deal and we hadn't seen the lines and all that, and it wasn't kicking off. The first person I recall talking about it was Kelly Cates and it was ages after the match had finished. But my mind is like a sieve.

Anyway all this horse shit from Carra and Neville saying he should keep his job but not have anything to do with liverpool games makes no sense for three obvious reasons. First is the kompramat scenario that's probably been going on for years. Second is he's proven he can't be trusted to act without bias, and we don't know how far that extends from just that video, he could love or hate other teams too. Third is what if City need to beat Chelsea to win the title over us, he's allowed to officiate that is he? Why? The results of our rivals affect us, that's the whole point of a fucking league.

Arghhhhh. How thick are these cunts?
