I think too many people are too quick to shout agenda at Modo, and they are those who often get the same taunts thrown at them. e.g. Mystic (Hendo is a legend) and Mark (Johnson is shit etc).
Come on, most of your praising of Johnson is followed by the 'but he's inconsistent' kind of remark. When Johnson is great, and he has been lately, I'll call it out, I don't go on an agenda driven attention seeking hunt, pointing out that when he is playing well he's just "doing the rudimentary basics". And I don't contradict myself by saying as much, and then lauding (say) Martin Kelly as proving himself because he plays half a good game. He's a WUM, so please don't compare me to that bollocks or fall into the trap of "ahh, poor Modo only has an opinion", because it's a million miles from the truth.
Lucas was great, but the switch to the diamond midfield was even better. Took control of the game once we got out of that stationary midfield 4 shite.

I like Flanno but I think Johnson's a better defender (and player, obviously). He's had quite a lot of wingers go past him this season, while when we had Enrique on the left it hardly ever happened.
Modo's gone the extreme route with his constant criticisms but there is a point to it.
It'd be nice if we had one who could defend thoughI'm a big fan on Flannel, but just imagine how great we'd be if we had an attacking fullback like Coentrao on the left, we'd be even more lethal.

Cissokho was meant to be a good attacking full back

See, you're Modo-ing again! There will be some irony if the cultured Agger and the Brazilian Lucas end up being fall guys to our current more expansive, out and out attacking brand of football.
Next season, with the champions league, there will be more than enough games for him and the others.See, you're Modo-ing again!
Don't know about Agger but I certainly see Lucas being a very very important part of our squad as long as he doesn't demand to leave.
C'mon now you're exaggerating and you know it. That pass was nowhere the level you're claiming it to be. Ok you love lucas which is fair enough. I dont see in him what you do but everyone has a right to their own opinion. But to say its up there with brazil's best is a MAJOR stretch evrn for any lucas fan."Lucas deserves a special mention. I think there was a lot of pressure on him - the Brazil coach was here to watch him. He hasn't played much of late, but he's come back and worked his socks off to get fit," Gerrard told the club's official website.
"The ball he played for the second goal - people have been raving about Coutinho all year and the passes he has made - but for me, that was right up there with Brazil's best. I think that helped us go on and get the win.
"So it's great credit to Lucas and I think it shows that in this squad now we have a bit of everything - a bit of class, a bit of skill in Luis Suarez, Daniel Sturridge and Coutinho. But we've also got some steel. We have lads here who want to roll their sleeves up and dig in. That's what we did today."
