Went to watch Derby at Brentford. Ibe came on after about an hour, looked quick, tricky and dangerous. Call him back and lend Derby Markovicz instead!

Don't see Coates mentioned here often. After reading about yet another disaster by Wes Brown for Sunderland, I looked up how our Uruguayan has been doing there, and found that he's played only 45 minutes, in a League Cup game. Apparently been injured again - thigh injury this time. The description of the nature of his injury is pretty curious / weird - he can train (run, sprint, kick a ball, etc.), but he can't play in a match.

I really hope we get to see Ibe and Sterling in the premier league together as top players.

Divock Origi is the "complete package" and Liverpool FC could be getting a "truly great player" according to one of his team-mates.
Danish defender Simon Kjaer says his current Lille colleague - who will be joining the Reds next summer - is among the "greatest talents" he has ever played alongside.

Kjaer said: "He could be a truly great player for Liverpool. "He has got great potential and could become one of the best players in his position. "Origi is one of the greatest talents I have ever played with in Italy, Germany or France. I have no doubt about his potential.
"He's still very young and it was a clever move to let him mature one more season with Lille, but he's got the complete package - physically, technically and great speed. "A special thing about him is that he has no real weak spots, which he needs to work on. Instead he can just work on the things he's already good at. That's a huge advantage.

"He's actually pretty versatile. We can use him on both sides and up front as well. Now I have played with Origi for a year and he really seems to have a good mentality. "He is a dedicated pro at his young age." Last month the ECHO spoke to French football writer Julien Laurens who was also full of praise for Origi. Laurens said: "Divock is the main reason why Lille have done so well. "He’s been involved in around 70% of their goals so far in either scoring them or helping to set them up."

Jordan Ibe; a perfect example of using the loan system expertly well. Plenty on here were decrying him going out on loan, now look at hime - getting games, scoring goals, confidence up, gaining experience. He wouldn't have got that had he stayed.

Kid looks a real talent too.

But we could have put all the expectations the more senior players aren't meeting on him, got 6 or so goals and a couple assists out of him, and run him in to the ground here.

EXCITING wing talent Jordon Ibe is developing his all-round game, says Derby County head coach Steve McClaren.

The 18-year-old England Youth international is on a season-long loan from Liverpool and is catching the eye.

His classy finish in Saturday’s win at Watford was his fourth goal in 15 appearances and his second in the last two games.

“He is only 18, a great talent, and he is learning,” said McClaren.

“When he first came in, we would give Jordon a ball on his own and give the rest of the team another ball!

“Now he is learning to be a team player and learning that he needs an end product to his game.

“He is developing his game and that is why he is here – for us to develop him for Liverpool but in the meantime for him to help us to win games.

“Liverpool know their players more than I do. They think he needs development, and I would totally agree with Brendan (Rodgers).

“He is learning and he still has a long way to go but he is having an impact.”

Ibe’s positive style and goals have had fans on their feet.

His first for Derby was in the 2-2 draw against Cardiff City. He came off the bench with the Rams trailing and fired low past David Marshall from 12 yards before Craig Bryson rescued a point.

Ibe found the net in the victory at Reading last month when he showed great feet to waltz into the area and send a precise finish low across Adam Federici.

He also struck in the 3-2 home win against Huddersfield Town, playing a one-two with Jeff Hendrick and slamming home a shot.

“Jordon’s got a lot of quality. You can’t switch off when up against him,” said McClaren, who points out the improvements in Ibe’s all-round game.

“He is showing his defensive responsibilites, work rate and concentration,” said McClaren.

“He is not dribbling all the time and beating players but playing off team mates.

“I think he is becoming a team player, and that is vital.”

Ibe was a constant thorn in Birmingham’s side in the 4-0 win at St Andrew’s.

The 19-year-old on loan from Liverpool scored the first goal and was a real threat with his pace, especially on the counter-attack.

“Jordon is still learning but when he puts it all together, you can see what he is capable of doing. At times he is unplayable,” said McClaren.

“It is not just his work going forward, it is his tracking back and his defending – the discipline side of the game that you need if you want to be a top player.”

Ibe’s 90 minutes against Birmingham was only the second time he has started and completed a Championship fixture since signing for Derby.

He has made 21 appearances (12 of them starts) and has scored five goals.[/article]
