That's a rubbish team. Our chance of winning this is actually by turning this into an ugly old-school derby battle.

And who, pray tell, is capable of delivering the charge from our side and inspiring blood and thunder from the troops?

And if anyone is thinking of photoshopping Steven fucking Gerrard in the style of Jesus fucking Christ, that would absolutely be worth doing.

Luis Suarez and Steven fucking Gerrard.

We don't want Suarez going into battle, it might fire up his old cannibal instincts and Gerrard would probably wreck his dodgy groin that he manages these days by avoiding trying any long range shots whilst marauding forward. We need someone we can sacrifice for a week or two just in case things go wrong on the night.

Flanagan, Skrtel, Toure, Gerrard, Suarez, Sturridge, Henderson ... maybe the Q should have been who isn't ?

Men, the answer is staring us in the face!

Step forward into the bright light of cult hero status, your time has come, little Iago Aspas. Your destiny awaits.

Good thing we have the sheer force of our fans getting behind the team in a positive and supportive way.

Hush now, we are using cunning faux-negativity to draw out the fact that really we aren't all that bad and can easily win this game if we have the right attitude (and tactical setup) from the start.

I'm convinced at 20:00:01 we are going to.........

..... RELEASE THE KRAKEN

Great work from Sterling there, the stronger he gets the more of a pain in the ass he is.

We've seen that before from Henderson.

Everton looking nervy in defense.
