Mirror reporting that kompany has hurt his knee in training. Fell awkwardly.

Be nice if he was out

It'd be fucking amazing if he was out. Without him at the back they really really struggle.

If the klingon plays alongside demichaelis (sp?) then Suarez & Co will be rubbing their hands in glee, no pace whatsoever.

Apparently he collided with Richards in the air and fell awkward. Had to be helped off the training ground

The pics on Twitter of him leaving the training ground didnt look good for them.
Have to be a very big doubt now.

I'm merely informing the forum he's injured. I'm celebrating nothing.

I'm shitting myself. Their best Xi would have to be out injured before I felt alright

Hahaha. Chelsea scare me more tbh. I'm still shitting one, but come the Chelsea match I suspect we'll be lucky to get a draw. City will play to win, & open up, whereas Chelsea will play to maim & stop us scoring.

Listen to the Anfield wrap from yesterday, about half way through they speak to a city fan who does a man City podcast, convinced the best they can get is a draw & that because kompany is so good at the back & talks about how much better the defence is with him in it & why.

If we beat City, we still have to win every game to be assured of winning the league, right?

Think even one draw would allow City to win the league if they won all their remaining games.

So really it's not just about the City game - each of the five games are just as important.

We win tomorrow & draw 1 game, win the rest & they win all the rest & it's down to goal difference, so depends how many we would win by tomorrow & the other matches.

They still have palace (as do we) & Everton too so it's far from an assumption they will win all theirs or us ours.

The match tomorrow is massive, but it's as much for momentum & belief as it is points.

No I think if we draw 1 game, and they win all of theirs, they'd be 1 point ahead of us.

Eh, no. We win tomorrow and draw 1 game = 4 wins, 1 draw = 13 points. So we end up with 87.
City lost tomorrow but win the rest = 6 wins, 1 defeat = 18 points. So they end up with 88.

I should stop trying to work this out. I fucked it up last time I tried too.

Wouldn't mind but almost every job I've ever done was heavily reliant on maths!

I wish it was tomorrow already and thats not something you say on a saturday lightly. I've felt like Cartman in that nintendo wii episode all week.

@1min 14s

Kompany out would be a massive blow for them, second only to Yaya being out.

Vincent Kompany would be a bigger miss for them than any other player, he's their rock in defence, leads the team (who I've seen look like lost sheep without him on several occasions) and seems to always be a big threat against us from set-pieces.

Here's massively hoping.
