Pre match thread: Liverpool - Man City

Chelsea now have a Champs league match either side of the weekend game with us

Yep. They have a top squad, but that's sure to make a difference now, and to the rest of their run in. An extra two games at this end of the season can take it's toll.

I'm not getting sucked in to it.

We're going to win the league regardless of this weekend but I just think it'll be even Stevens come full time.

It'll be 5-5 or something equally outlandish.

Nah, we'll win 4-2.

We'll be 3-0 up in the first 40, they'll pull 2 back then we'll hit them on the counter after about 65/70 mins as they pish for the equaliser.

Yeah, we've got nothing to fear on sunday. Anfield will be rocking and the atmosphere electric.

City are the 5th best away team in the league but are unbeaten since November.
Will be a tough game but I think we've got a great chance. Comes down to how we handle Silva imho and if Aguero is fit enough to start.

Can see us winning 4-2 with a red card for Demichelis.

I've been saying for the last few months that we'd beat City and draw/lose to Chelsea. Nerves are kicking in now, and I'm not so sure we'll get anything on Sunday, I can see there being another unjust win for City, probably another 2-1, with a disallowed Coutinho goal after being wrongly judged offside when we're 1-0 up.

Can see us winning 4-2 with a red card for Demichelis.

Yesterday I predicted 4-2 with a red card for Kompany, my "logic" being that he'll be forced into a rash tackle by his incessant last-ditch covering of the useless Demichelis.

3-1 vs City and 2-1 vs Chelsea.
We might give up points elsewhere but if we beat City then confidence will be sky high we can beat Chelsea (plus they will be in-between two CL semi-final matches).

I reckon we'll line up

Ming
Magic Skittles, Sakho Flanno
Gerrard
Hendo Lucas
Sterling Suarez
Sturridge

they might swap Flanno and Magic around at some point to try and negate Navas. Lucas and Hendo will be asked to protect the fullbacks.

I'd go diamond personally. Need to control that midfield and let Suarez & Sturridge play as strikers.

bib theory was going to be correct the last time around if Agger/Allen didn't get injured.

Bib theory this time around:

Mignolet, Johnson, Skrtel, Sakho, Flanagan, Gerrard, Henderson, Coutinho, Sterling, Suarez, Sturridge.

All wore yellow bibs.

The rest wore orange bibs.
