Does Firmino offer anything when he's not playing as a striker? At least then he had goals.

I've watched him all year and I'm still no closer to deciding what his position is. I'd like some creativity and some skills from him today. As a pure attacking midfielder he's been unconvincing so far.

He's a way to go before he's even at countinho's level, & Coutinho has only started to prove his worth recently imo (he can still look like a passenger at times before scoring, but the goals are coming more regularly & seeing him play in the flesh his work rate has increased).

I think Klopp said after the Bournemouth game that Firmino is managing an injury and hasn't been fully fit since he got injured before the last International break.
It could account for his downturn in form.
