Wilshire is one of the most unlikeable good players in the game. And the ref let him get away with his usual discreet thuggishness today. I hope he gets walloped by someone on Wednesday.

Gerrard giving him a taste of his own medicine later in the 2nd half was pure genius....

He fell on his Arsenal in lime Street. Really shitty day. Bet he had HUGE glass of wine when he got in.

A very minor complaint, I hate the way there is a big pause before announcing Suarez' name just before kick off. I'd be a bit pissed off if I was one of the other players. It's a team effort not the Luis Suarez show.

It's seriously cringeworthy.

Un fucking real performance today. Absolutely amazing. I honestly can't remember us bombarding another team the way we did in the first 20 minutes. And to do it against Arsenal made it even more special.

And Wilshire is a horrible bastard. I never realised it before. I'm delighted the Coutinho made a complete cunt of him.

I think Flanagan deserves a mention. I wrote him off as a long term option at right back a little while ago, but everything about his game impressed me today. Solid defending, excellent composure, and a couple of passes that Steven Gerrard would be proud of. Hope he keeps proving me wrong.

And his runs into the box .. impressive performance.
