I said this in the Match thread but I'll say it again here .. because I am just in absolute AWE of this man's skill. Messi/Ronaldo eat your hearts out.

I really really really wish that had gone it. Not only would it have been Goal of the Season but also one more goal to his tally to endorse Suarez's strong Ballon D'Or credentials.

Would also have given SG a hat trick of assists !

I didn't quite know what to make of Oxlade-Chamberlain's attitude - he was still grinning when his side was 5 down. I guess it means he enjoys playing and is very positive, but if I was a fan I'd have been a tad irritated.

He was lovely in his post match interview, enthusing about how outstanding we had been.

Coutinho vs Arsenal... drool at that pass for Sturridge's goal, and that dribble through traffic and pass to Henderson. Insane the amount of space and time he was given, and when they tried not to give him that, he'd wiggle free or draw a foul because they couldn't stop him.

Like I said in the MOTM thread, that was a brilliant MOTM-worthy performance - if not for Sterling and Skrtel scoring a brace each and also playing out of their skin.

I'm still reeling to be honest. As I normally do I have rewatched the game twice and the MOTD hightlights twice (The bit where the commentator said "It's like the Liverpool of old" had me grinning like a right silly twat) So much to say but that 1st 20mins was possibly the finest performance I've ever seen from the redmen. It honestly could have been 6-0 by 30 mins! Against fucking Arsenal!!!!

All were brilliant but I'm well pleased for Sterling! What a player! Oh and if that Suarez effort had of gone in it would have been right up there with that Yeboah effort. A thing of beauty. His free kick as well!!! Amazing!

Tbh some of it was funny tombrown, its more the obsession you have thats hard to fathom.

I get the feeling you analyse everything i write, lol.

I can watch that all day....if only it had gone in, it would have been goal of the season contender....if not one of the best goals i would have ever seen....no doubt about it...

look at his technique...the footsteps timed to perfection to run to the ball (mind you, it's quite a fair distance too), trap it, and maneuver his body to swivel and hit it first time with such power.....incredible stuff.

This x2

I was grinning from ear to ear. And cos I watched it in a pub the crowd doesn't come through so it was good to see it again and again.

Is it time to put it all behind us and concentrate on Fulham now? #killjoy

Just had a gander at an Arsenal forum, a few of the many gems from before the game...

'If we win this game we will be in very good position going to upcoming games just stop Suarez and Liverpool are going to do nothing.'

'We're due a big performance, it's been a while since we really played a team off the park.'

'Suarez and Sturridge will cause problems but they will have a midfield pairing of Henderson and Gerrard, none of which will be able to hang with Özil, this is where the game will be won.'

'We'll nullify them. I think this game will be a lot easier than a lot of people expect. One thing Liverpool can't handle is our technical ability through the middle of the pitch, and they're the only top team that can't shut us out effectively'

Some comic gold there all right.

"How can we be losing 4-0 against a team as piss poor as Liverpool"

I like this one: -

Typical Arsenal

-February collapse - check
-Big-game bottlers - check
-Tactically clueless - check
-Mentally weak - check
-Season over - check

Although it has similarity to the scouse chart...

That Gooner forum was well funny - Thanks @Spaghetti Legs - It's so utterly moronic though. I think maybe the average age of those posters must be 15 (or less) Either that or Arsenal fans are as dim as an eclipse. It kind of reminds me of the hilariously named 'The Intelligent Forum' Over at the Chelsea Fc website. That place is comedy gold if ever I saw it. I once copied and pasted the thread on there for the 2005 Istanbul final. If anyone missed it - I realise I'm quiffing but fuck it.

The original link has long been deleted but some reds over at http://forums.liverpoolfc.com/threads/174939-What-Chelsea-fans-said-during-Istanbul Kept it alive.

Very funny. Enjoy. 😉

Come on RA, you know it's the latter.

Had to laugh at them declaring themselves as fans with class but very very few could admit they were outclassed by a team who were levels above them on the day.

"PLEASE MILAN so that i dont have to pout up with whining scousers singing for the next decade, theyve just got over the eighties. Please" - hilariously spot on
