Amazing the turn around in a few months, alot of people thought he was going to be a revelation.

He just looks like he doesn't fancy it a lot of the time. Tons of talent obviously but that's worth fuck against a team like us today.

I didn't quite know what to make of Oxlade-Chamberlain's attitude - he was still grinning when his side was 5 down. I guess it means he enjoys playing and is very positive, but if I was a fan I'd have been a tad irritated.

was ozil playing for Madrid the night we hammered them?

nah..

Real Madrid: Casillas, Sergio Ramos, Cannavaro, Pepe, Heinze, Robben, Diarra, Gago, Sneijder, Raul (c), Higuain.
Subs: Dudek, Saviola, Marcelo, Guti, Metzelder, Miguel Torres, Van der Vaart.

Is there somewhere I can download the game from? Flying home from the us tonight so would be nice plane viewing.

I thought he was their best player today and the only him and Wilshire actually wanted to have a go.

An absolutely tremendous performers against the then league leaders, although there is a slight element of 'what ifs' with the koule mistake and studge being out during xmas.

I think Flanagan deserves a mention. I wrote him off as a long term option at right back a little while ago, but everything about his game impressed me today. Solid defending, excellent composure, and a couple of passes that Steven Gerrard would be proud of. Hope he keeps proving me wrong.

good call. i wrote him off too, just goes to show that patience for young players is important (re: sterline too). flanno seems to be undergoing some immense technical training too. cudos to the coaches.

Loads of people write off kids far to quickly. Yis dicks yis.

Absolutely. Even if he lost form and never played again for the first team, he would still have proved 90% of this site completely wrong.

Flanagan looks like he belongs. He does not have the game changing potential of a Johnson or Cole or Ivanovich, but he looks like he belongs. A bit Steve Finnan and on his way towards being a bit Gary Neville. Needs better delivery to match those two though.

apols if I am quiffing, but gerrard was a monster today, post villa I thought his position as a deep lying playmaker/dm looked unlikely, but at this rate he can keep going on at the highest level for a season or two - he could certainly emulate pirlo. he was majestic.
