serious question, and before I drone on, I am delighted with our start and it goes without saying Hendo is playing a part in it, what part though, is difficult for me to fathom. He doesn't score goals, doesn't set many up (any?), doesn't do 50/50 crcunching tackles ala mascher, doesn't do dream thready balls either. he's doing something, but what? working - buying gerrard and others space and time? running around a lot to close down?

He does the same as Lucas but can tackle without giving stupid free kicks away.

It's a funny game football, as my opinion at the match was that Skrtel was superb but get home and come on here and I find people saying he wasn't great.

Must be some shit streams out there or something. Baffling.

Suarez, Lucas, Skrtel were the best 3 on the park although I thought Sakho did very well too.

He was boss mate and its why he's playing ahead of Agger. Some people just don't know defending

Oh no. This thread is going to end being a discussion about Lucas.

Skrtel wasn't poor but he wasn't one of our best performers today, I actually think Sakho and Touré were better.
And this is not because I have an agenda, I actually think Agger needs to earn his place back.
Also why is it Skrtel vs Agger when Sakho is the one playing in his spot.

I'd say that's because after shelling $18m on a cb he's nailed on to play every game when fit especially as he is slowly improving

Exactly. It's a bit rich Kris going on about agenda's and taking offense to it all. If truth be told Skrtel had a very good game but made a couple of poor passes, watching the Anelka chance, it doesn't look like an error, he's marking Anelka and the ball is a fraction too high for him to get a touch to, hardly a mistake - and what are these two chances that WBA had as a direct result of Skrtel fucking up?

KHL spent the entire thread moaning about why Agger wasn't playing and directly laying into Skrtel in retaliation. No agenda though. He says he doesn't have this agenda against him, when the truth of the matter is that it's Sakho who's replaced Agger anyway.

Boo fucking hoo. When Skrtel wasn't playing, we got smug arsed comments like "he's not good enough for a big club" while having every tenuous Agger to Barcelona link littering the forum, and every remote Danish player link regarded as a "definite long term target of the club", as though there's some insider knowledge there. No, it's Kris campioning Danish players (which is fine), but going fucking overboard in his exaggeration of the truth, to gloss up what's more often than not, speculation that's no different to what does the rounds about ALOT of players.
