I give Skrtel praise when due and he wasn't horrendous today but all this "our best defender" crap when he was so obviously not having a good game is getting on my tittays.
Mark and the agenda boys strikes again.
Was at the match and thought the same. Skrtel bossed it - clean tackles, important interceptions and won his headers. He's been rock solid this season, I'm sorry if that's an annoyance to all Agger fans, boohoo.

Skrtel was the only defender making clear mistakes that could've costed us. You didn't see that or thought it was made up by his performance overall?

With 3 at the back Skrtel would've played if I had to pick. Doesn't change he didn't have the best of games.
We lack composure at the back and I am stunned you lads don't see it. Sakho has improved but I would've benched him to make way for compos... Agger.
A brilliant goal by Sturridge today, but he really infuriates me during games.
Why the fuck he feels the need to hold onto the ball for so long (all other players release the ball quickly to keep the flow going) is beyond me. What does he think he gets out of the extra 2 seconds on the ball?
Can't argue at all with his goal scoring record (it's phenomenal) but he can improve like hell in general play.
He only needs to look at his striking partner. Suarez can be a right greedy sod in and around the penalty area but he's great with quick incisive passing elsewhere.

Oh, and I would have Enrique starting every single time ahead of Cissokho. He's shite.
The only error I saw was the one he misread the ball which resulted In the Anelka chance. But he cleared the ball off the line and made up for that so no problem.
Yeah he had a chance he prob should have scored from but he's not a striker so I'll let him off.
I really thought he played well today. In my top 3.

Skrtel was amazing today, I cant say I've seen him play anything other than boss since he came in to the side this season. As my bro said, Anichebe won everything in the air vs Sakho and Glenjo today, even when outnumbered 2 on 1.
At the ground, you could hear and see Skrtel pointing and directing Kolo and Sakho around him and the centre man of the three, he is really thriving at the moment. I wouldnt object to seeing Agger come back in for Sakho, but that isnt our biggest concern.
The midfield are all over the show and arent protecting the defenders enough. And our width from full back is almost non existent in an attacking sense.
And why we seem to flap and panic when we concede a goal is still a major worry, we could have actually let them back into this game today from 3-0 up.

WBA had two chances in the first half both due to Skrtel mistakes. Neither Sakho nor Toure made any glaring mistakes yet Martin was better in your eyes.

I would have liked to see Allen and Alberto come on earlier but given the lack of composure or nous to kill off the game, it was understandable why Rodgers waited for so long.
Other than that, I was concerned that Kelly looked either unfit or disinterested. He's got a number so CBs in front of him so I was disappointed he did not make more of his opportunity to stake a claim for the RB/wingback position.

No, he was too busy spending the match thread crying about Agger not playing and asking if he and Molby are the only two people on the planet who found it earth shatteringly devastating that Agger wasn't playing.
I was in the same camp as Cloggy and FFF with the LOF stream so avoided the thread. We needed a regular match thread and a LOF match thread.
My friend, you know Aidan yeah? He ruined the fucking game for me. My stream was behind for the second half and he spoiled every important moment in a whatsapp group text. Even, after I told him I was behind. The clown. He kept forgetting. ANGRY FACE. Ha.
Suarez and Lucas we're excellent today. Gerrard fancied it too. Spring in his step. He is a top top player. Those comments might motivate Stevie to try dominate the next few games for us.
Can ye all STFU with this Skrtel bullshit. Ruining a perfectly good win for us. The only thing i'd fault Skrtel for would be allowing one ball float over his head in the first half but he recovered pretty well to clear it. Just drops it lads.
KHL, you aren't doing yourself any favours here man. I always stick up for you and i'm a huge Agger fan but Skrtel didn't do much wrong to warrant negative feedback. Pete and Nessy have no agenda and are back from the game saying he was our best defender. Let it go. Posters won't feel the need to defend his as vigorously as they are doing if you aren't having the odd dig. It's a two way street I know.
