I think we got lucky with Mascher still being on the pitch. Penalty or not, it was clearly a foul on Valencia as he headed straight for goal and it was by no means clear if Carragher could claim to be the last man. The ref. decided he was, which plenty of other refs might not have done.

Scary though given his ability to head things into danger zones as well as the oppostion would manage if they'd done it themselves (he did something very similar to today's mistake against Lille but they made nothing of it).
