As others have said you can't play a high line with no pressure on the ball in midfield, it's just stupid. Part of the problem is that Thiago waits for trouble to happen and reacts rather than anticipating trouble like Fabinho does when he plays in midfield, either that or he's been told to press but just doesn't bother. Added to that Firmino is dropping deep but not putting pressure on anybody when out of possesion and that means the centre of the park is wide fucking open.

Salah gets a lot of shit for being selfish and at times playing for himself but there's no doubting his commitment as he runs his balls off every game. Too many of the other players look like they're feeling sorry for themselves which rarely works out well.

The high line and press doesn't work if we can't score goals... or worse still, carry the threat of scoring. Teams know that as long as they sit deep and stay organised, they've got a good chance of coming away with a draw minimum.
