I don't think Mane needs any advice from ex pros. Not withstanding a recent loss of form he"s one my all time favourite players to put on the shirt. You cant win as a footballer. Michael Owen and Paul Ince talking about Mane's honesty and saying that he needs to judge situations and go down.
Jury's still out he"s had barely half a season of football in the PL.Normal service has not been resumed but at least we have stopped the rot. Still not convinced about Thiago. Hasn't done anything of note apart from some clumsy fouls. The Boss has to either play him as an out and out holding player or not at all,, he isn't a playmaker nor an effective attacking midfield player. Hard working but we need a bit more.

Well in that case he has done fuck all.He isn't a defensive midfielder. He's a playmaker

To be honest, so was the same fixture last year. Bobby managed to get us the 3 points near the end. That was agony.
Sometimes you have to suffer, that game was one of those.
I thought Ox was very good when he came on. A continuation of the Pep-inspired tactical fad to play midfielders at CF/false 9, but he did look very comfortable there and pressed very well in addition to creating that chance for Salah.

yeah he was pretty good tbh, but that is because he came on when the game was more open. It was easier for him to look good.I thought Ox was very good when he came on. Good to get a scabby arse win as someone put it.
Alisson - 5 some important saves and a clean sheet, but looked shaky as hell on crosses. No idea where that came from. Oh yeah, gave away a stonewall penalty. Sort of.
Natbak - 9 our CB pairing haven't made a proper mistake whilst playing together and compliment each other well. Fucking awesome.
TAA - 9 defended really well and looked a threat going forward.
Robbo - 6 uncharacteristically poor. Gave the ball away a lot, although did make a few important interventions and got better as the match went on
Thiago - 4 his worst match I think, and he has some competition. Telling forward balls non existent and a bit of a liability defensively.
Gini - 4 did he play?
Fabs - 7 not his commanding best but did enough and was solid
Salah - 6 very quiet, and didn't release the ball when he should have. Characteristic shit passing except for the goal where he remarkably combined fantastically with Mane.
Jota - 7 is it enough to play poorly and score? Well I say that's more than acceptable tonight. How lovely to think that your CF posseses a decent shot.
Mane - 6 split Forum opinion down the middle. I'm going for poor. Yes he did some good stuff, but he did more bad stuff. Good combo with the other "arrows" for the goal.
Remember when we just carved teams up at will? Nice wasn't it.
Hopefully we'll get back there soon. In the meantime enjoy the boot being on the other foot of a slightly lucky win. Lord knows we've battered so many teams in the last 12 months and come away with 0 or 1 point so this is not before time.
God they must stink to high heaven by now - at least if you are playing by the rules: undies, socks etc. are not allowed to be washed if deemed 'lucky' in case you wash the luck out.Worn these lucky shorts 3 times now watching us and 3 wins.
They are not wrong. When is the last time you saw a penalty given (except for a CB holding - and even those are rare) when the attacking player didn't go down? Are they ever?!You cant win as a footballer. Michael Owen and Paul Ince talking about Mane's honesty and saying that he needs to judge situations and go down.
Haha Jesus Christ. You'd think Thiago was some newbie not one of the world's Top 10 players (according to UEFA last season). And yeah, he's not a DM.Normal service has not been resumed but at least we have stopped the rot. Still not convinced about Thiago. Hasn't done anything of note apart from some clumsy fouls. He probably said the same about Xavi in his prime.Haha Jesus Christ. You'd think Thiago was some newbie not one of the world's Top 10 players (according to UEFA last season). And yeah, he's not a DM.
Hobble over what kind?We weren't great but thankfully wolves are dogshit
Still feels better to have fab In the 6 , I think We should be able to hobble over the line with Nat and Kabak at CB if they can stay fit
I actually said I'm not convinced he's right...for us. I'm aware of his achievements in the game. I know where he prefers to play. Why did you start your post with the.."Haha..JC.." Very strange way to reply. And you didn't put forward any relevant point..I know his history..Haha Jesus Christ.
