That's really not the right attitude. It's a cup final, they've put a helluva lot of work in & we've proven this season that we struggle to get up for it against the 'smaller' teams.
 
If we played with that much intensity and ability on a weekly basis we'd be nestled somewhere in the top 3 right now.

It was quite nice that no one player was responsible for the lions shares of the big chances , we had threats coming from all over the park.

That's a good point, you don't see players putting their hands up and saying "sorry, goal doesn't stand, that was meant to be a cross, didn't mean for it to go in the net."

Exactly, this accidental argument pundits use does my head in. In my book if you handle it, it's handball, the only time I'd consider it not is if your hand is down by your sides and it would have hit your side if your hand wasn't there. The difference between an accidental handball and a non accidental hand ball should be an accident doesn't get a card whereas a deliberate one does.

This is a cup final so i'm sure our players won't have an issue getting up for it. We're going to kill them.

Just like when we played lowly Birmingham in 2001 and it went to penalties. This will be no walkover at all. Cardiff will be up for it as much as us and we'll have to be focused and committed to win this. To be honest, if our players took the attitude that some of our fans are hear we'd be furious with them. It's nowhere near in the bag at the moment.
 
I'm sure i'll have a few doubts creep in closer to the game, but right now a Liverpool v Cardiff final = Liverpool picking up a trophy.

Exactly.

You think our players will be up for it? Fuck me cardiff's will be. Think about what that would mean to them, beating LIVERPOOL in a CUP FINAL.

Add in the fact they'll know we'll fly at them & they'll have to defend like their lives depended on it, so we'll face a determined team effectively parking the bus. Which is exactl what we've struggled against this season.

Give it twenty minutes without us scoring & they'll start to find space & a bit more time...

I think we'll win, but if we don't get an early goal it'll be fucking close, anyone who think otherwise is deluded, & yes, they're disrespectful to what this Cardiff team has achieved, whether they can read this or not.

On a side note did anyone think that KK looked unwell last night. I hope this job isnt having an adverse effect on his health. Nothing would be worth that.

Pretty much. I think if we get one early we may get a couple more & control the game. Still unlikely though.

If we don't it'll be a pretty close & tight match.

We don't play well against teams when we have to break them down, so it'll be very unlikely that we'll win at a canter.

He's looked like that for about 6/7 games now.

There are rumours that he's been finding it much more stressful than he expected & it's tiring him a lot more than last season did.

I'm sure a few wins on the trot would enable him to get some decent kip & make it somewhat easier for him.
 
Well i'm sure i'll start shitting it just before the game kicks off, but right now i'm of the opinion that we're going to destroy them 4-0.

Gerrard v Gerrard will be interesting.

I was going to say so in my original post, but he did strike me as looking stressed out in the post match interview. Like someone else just said, nothing is more important than his health, so i hope he doesn't continue if he is feeling the effects.
