Lallana

Apart from the skills that are there for all to see I love Lallana's work rate and attitude. He came in for a big fee (worth every penny as I and Ryan and few others said at the time) but he neither lets that weigh him down as Henderson did in his early days nor does he swan around like some made it Jonny Big Bollocks as Henderson has done more recently!

Scores goal, provides assists, works his cunt off, skillful as fuck, picks the ball up in positions others don't bother going into, and didn't have a pre-season.

What's not to like?

Reminds me so much of Beardsley. He's just a top player.

Hadn't thought of the Beardsley comparison but yes, that is exactly right.

A small, minor, nitpicky thing like... But it bothered me that he didn't applaud or recognise the fans when he was subbed. Got an unbelievable ovation from the fans when he was going off, it wouldn't have taken much to just raise your hand or a quick clap of the hands to show your appreciation for the support.

Anyway, no biggie, but that shit's important to me.

I thought he was just taking it all in, that must have been the first time he had this kind of reception at Anfield. I am sure he'll applaud the fans next time.

Fantastic performance last night full of running and end-product. He's well suited to that role in a 3-4-2-1.

And then he did that interview....

Yep, I made a similar Beardo reference to the lads here in work.

I like how he shuffles his feet to jink past a player.

Buying talented, but inconsistent players at lower level top tier sides and naming them stars.

Doesn't that take me back to the days of Beardsley, Barnes, Houghton, Aldridge, McMahon, Gillespie, Lawerenson, Craig Johnston....

The only ones the fee is weighing down. Are down minded people like yourself His talent has always been shown 25m is nothing for a player like this his value to us has just begun to rise he will be worth 38m in July if he remains uninjured. That should be our biggest worry,

Get back in your box Jason

I really want Lallana to succeed. He is a very likeable person and player. He is a silky player who works his bollocks off. He has hit the ground running for us and this is after missing most of the pre season and then an unrelated rib injury. He takes the ball in positions where others don't want it. He doesn't even have a recognized striker to work it. One of my favourite players for us this season.

A quote from you last night:

Turning it on against light mid-table opposition at home sure.

He looked absolutely shattered. Prob just forgot. If he makes a habit of doing it then he needs pulling on it. He comes across as a down to earth bloke anyway.

Played quite well and deserved the goals last night. He wasn't expecting Coutinho to flick it back to him (eh?) but was so well-balanced he was able to take in in his stride and used the run by Sterling very well. The closing down of Fabianski is what most teams have routinely been doing to us the entire season so it was good to have the shoe on the other foot. Now for some consistency.

Great reception from the fans that I think will help his confidence no end (if it even needed it!).

I bet that is what Rickie has been dreaming of - goal in front of the Kop and having your name chanted. I wonder whether he will get that before he leaves.

Did you go to the game in the end?

Lallana or not?
