Are't you back four all full backs?
Yes. But Maldini and Thuram played bags of games at cb.
That said I forgot Desailly so I could swap Thuram for him.
I may be alone, but I think Thuram played his best years as a centre back.

God. Just check this shit out. Doing it better than Messi, 30 years before him playing on fucking bogs they wouldnt even allow a game to be played on today and getting the utter shit kicked out of him.
He was born too soon man, on the carpets they play now with the protection that kind of player is afforded he would be untouchable.

MARADONA'S TRICKS

Unbelievable.

Look at the challenges about 3:07 in. If this would happen to that gay Portuguese cunt you'd lose count of the times he'd roll over crying his lungs out. Maradona keeps running on hands and feet.

Van Basten never scored in a world cup
He's my favourite centre forward so I'm keeping him in. He was unlucky with world cups in that Netherlands failed to qualify in 86 and he was injured in 94, so in his only world cup they succumbed to the Germans who were the eventual winners.
That's also why I didn't mention him.
I s'pose I let my love of Van Basten obscure the fact that I don't have fond memories of him in world cup matches so in that case I'll go with Klinnsman replacing Van the Man.

Brehme was exceptional but I couldn't contemplate a world cup team without Maldini. I remember during one of the world cups in the 90's turning to my brother and saying how lucky we were that we were able to witness the best right/left backs of any generation at their peak - the right back being Cafu. Obviously it's all subjective but if there has ever being a better RB than Cafu or LB than Maldini IMO it must have been pre-1970 and they must have been some players.

Oh of course, I was just trying to think of some other greats that hadn't been mentioned.

Fair enough, in which case I'm changing Baresi (everyone's got him in their team) to Miodrag Belodedici of Romania. He was an awesome central defender but never got as much credit as Hagi, Dumetrescu, Lacatus etc during Romania's golden period.
