Just a minor point on the Bellamy thing , is he being dropped or rested ? Do we know if he is able to play that number of games in close succession ?

He has made many quotes over the last few yrs about how his body is not able to take it ....I mean these quotes are from 2 yrs ago -

"I know there are not four or five years ahead of me, not with the injuries I've had," revealed Bellamy. "Maybe I've got one or two years at the most. It will be all over before I know it, so I'm just enjoying it."

Stoke - Both Maxi and Bellamy are benched and we draw 1 - 1 with Stewart Downing playing all 90 minutes and creating FUCK ALL.

My ire will be crackling....
 
Here's my thing.

If I was Manager I would start Maxi, Gerrard, Bellamy automatically, because they are our best players and we're playing the best team in the league.

They were all the bench. All of them.

I don't give a fuck about reasons or precautions. All of them on the bench is just stupid.

He is meant to implement a buying/footballing strategy which is aiming to win the league in the near(ish) future.

Do you think we're on course with this group of players?
 
for the money spent we should be averaging 2 points per game and we're not.
no worries though we are very much a work in progress but it a little distressing that one of our signings doesn't have a single goal or assist to his name and another signing who cost a record fee has spent the better part of the season on the bench.
 
The burning issue at the moment is that Kenny is trying to over-complicate things.
Kuyt and downing can't cross or neither is a goal threat so why play them to support Carroll?
Adam isn't good enough to play at a club with Champions league ambitions,he's immobile,awkward and not fit enough to excel over a full game.
Lots of folk on here were spot on when they said that Lucas covered up alot of Adam's flaws.
Downing is just fuckin pointless,many times this season he has beaten the full back only to turn around and pass back to Enrique.
Kenny really should be trying to blood some youth into the first team too.Tis obvious as fuck that Sterling,Suso and Silvan could do miles better than Downing and Kuyt.

I must admit that so far this season has frustrated the fuck out of me . After all the shite of the last few years , Hicks and Gillette , Rafa , Hodgson , Torres & others leaving , etc etc , I just wanted a season where it was about the football and we had a good season . I didn't expect to win the league or anything but i'd hoped for more than we've done so far , to look like maybe next season we might be right up there . The shite signings and the wasted oppertunity to spend that money on top players have wrecked the head . Throw in some shocking results to shite teams , some shocking form of players, missed oppertunities with other teams being poor also and then obviously the Suarez thing ..well i am starting to want this season to be over already .

But hey it's only January , we may spend big , we may get 4th , Carroll,Downing and Henderson might become great and we may even win a cup or 2 ! . here's hoping but right now i doubt any of those will happen .

oncys figure not only highlights the massive spend of three years but the ridiculously high turn over of players. it's got to be difficult to perform consistantly if you are making wholesale changes every summer.
 
That's why I hope Kenny get's next season to show what he can do if this team gels and Wonderman comes back etc.

No of course not, i have been shouting that all season , that even if this lot and recent signings are good enough to get 4th i don't see them as being anywhere near good enough to challenge for the top prizes which is where i want to be . I have been banging on for ages how we've missed a great opportunity ,wasted huge amounts of money and I've questioned what is the mid to long term plan with these players .

I am just unsure if Camolli is 100% to blame for that and believe he backed alot of Dalglish's choices . So if that is the case are people saying he should have blocked Kenny from buying who he wanted ? Perhaps he should have but imagine if he did , there would be uproar and he'd be burned at the stake .

I thought our transfer policy was turned on it's arse during the summer.
We were told we would be buying young players who will have re-sale value,we instantly thought Mata,Hazard,Sturridge etc etc.
We all know who we got instead.
 
is kenny doing a good job? im not calling for him to be sacked or anything but when you look objectively, not really. money was wasted, a lot of other managers could have done a lot better with the amount spent, even now he could be doing better with the team he's got but he doesnt use the best players or play to their strengths. when we're on form we play an exciting game but how often is that? i feel like those performances are becoming an exception to how we normally play and thats just wrong. maybe i have too high expectations of liverpool football club, and i know we're not exactly far from fourth, but we could be in a much better position right now. having said that theres no point crying over spilt milk so i hope kenny makes better signings soon and really starts playing to the squads strengths
