I am really writing this season off, as a part of a learning curve.
I hope our fans have patience, because I think we have a real special core of young players brought together over the past 6 years by Rafa, Roy, Kenny and now Mr Rodgers.
Wisdom
Robinson
Coates
Suso
Henderson
Shelvey
Borini
Kelly
Pacheco
Sterling
Allen

Its a real mixed but very talented bag.
Im excited about seeing them coming in over the coming months and hope that with two more good transfer windows we will have a real side hopefully next year if not the year after.
I know some people will disagree, and some will want instant results, and some will think that the players might turn out to be shit, but i think we have a good core there and if one or two dont make it we still have potential in buckets.

This thread makes no mention of Yesil and for that reason... I'm out.
I was dissappionted not to see him play.
And I didnt add him because I havnt. Twould remove the solid reality that the other lads will all make it for sure and cast 1% doubt.

Wisdom - RAFA
Robinson - RAFA
Coates
Suso - RAFA
Henderson
Shelvey - RAFA
Borini
Kelly - RAFA
Pacheco - RAFA
Sterling - RAFA
Allen

Wisdom really impressed tonight, he looks strong ad solid and quite comfortable on the ball.

I think we learned a lot tonight, but not wanting to have a pop for the sale of it, we should have known some of it last year.

regards

I liked the look of Wisdom, too. Great attitude. He could easily be Johnson's understudy. Although like Johnson, he looks better going forwards than he does on the retreat.

Wisdom isn't a fullback. Johnson's understudy?
That would be Ryan McLaughlin. You'll see more of him next season.

That may not be where he plays for the reserves, but like Kelly, I think that's his best route into the first team. Plus he seems to have all the attributes to play there.

Yes after a bright start it seemed to get a bit much for him, and he started having to resort to pulling people over, there is still time for him I suppose.
I don't think Kelly has pushed on like I hoped he would that hamstring injury seemed to affect him a bit, still as has been said he is really a CB

Thought the opposite, Wisdom seems more comfortable defending than attacking which is perfectly fine saying as he is a defender.

I feel sorry for the kid. I'm not sure he has a future at Liverpool.

Yeah it's a shame. Liverpool fan, gives 100% and he is a talented lad but he may need to go elsewhere.

Might seem a bit extreme but if the players at reserve level aren't involved in these Europa games you'd have to question whether they'll ever make it. Especially at a time when the age of a player breaking-through is descreasing by the year.

Wisdom was great, wasn't expecting much from him to be honest but he looks very good. Suso looks talented but lazy, he needs to sort out his attitude a bit to make the first team, he looked so much better when he played out wide though. Would love to see an attacking trio of Sterling, Yesil and Suso at some point.

Henderson was fantastic last night too, there is a big future for him here im sure of it, I just think Kenny threw him in too quick and too deep.

I didn't think Suso was that lazy - he seemed to be doing a lot of running around. That's a problem though. If you've got someone like Suso / Silva / Riquelme running around harrying defenders or trying to get onto the ball, then you're often playing with 10 men because that's not what they're in the team for.
