I have a hunch...

That's a fairly shite hunch.

A shunch really.

I think the same tbh.

I just any see any reason why the phrase no time for replacement keeps coming up time & again if we aren't gonna try to get at least one player from them included in the deal.

Real Madrid are contemplating a move for Luis Suárez – but only if Arsenal target Karim Benzema leaves the club.
Brendan Rodgers said on Thursday that Liverpool were preparing themselves for a bid from Madrid for Suárez, in what was interpreted in Spain as potentially an invitation for Madrid to make an offer, despite his claim that the Uruguayan is still not for sale.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have briefed that they are considering a £46m bid for Benzema, and the Guardian understands they have made an inquiry about the 25-year-old France international

From the Guardian ...and so it begins again. Arsenal get Benzema, R Madrid get Suarez, we get nobody and FSG get £50 million

What if they offered Benzema + 20M and Benzema was willing to come because of his man love for Stevie?
Would anyone consider a deal like that?

Personally I'm not sure. Benzema would need to get used to the English game and God knows that can go either way whereas with Suarez you know what you're gonna get.
But I would be tempted.

I'd swap my left bollock for ozil.

Suarez is one where you have no idea what you're getting

We should get in early and bid £20m for Di Maria. He would be perfect for us.

Can't see him joining but let's give it a go.

Wow! We've not played that many games without him but still..

From Skys preview of tomorrows game:
Interestingly, the stats show Liverpool win more games without Suarez in their side (they have won 39% of Premier League games with him and 64% of their Premier League games without him) and sometimes you feel his presence affects the other players, especially the younger ones.

@Karlton81: #LFC have been informed that both Victor Moses & Juan Mata are available, but whether the club will make a move for either is unclear.

Bizarre If mata is available. Very bizarre.

As if we'd sign matter.

In dream land though, Mata and Coutinho alternating between the left and the number 10 position would be the stuff of dreams. Mata is the only person in the league who I rate higher than Coutinho in the position he plays, maybe Cazorla too, but they're close.

It'd be nice if we enquired. Jose wouldn't see us as a threat and likes Rodgers so we might get lucky. Then mata can knock us back.

I'd happily spend 30 million on Mata alone. Pipe dream.

Yep, me too.

I guess the only chance of this happening would be if Brendan could convince his old buddy Maureen to let Mata come here because we aren't a threat anyway and it's better we have him than say Arse or ManU = not happening.

And yet you and a host of others think we couldn't possibly be better without him
