I think they'll finish 7th, but it'd be nice if southampton could sneak infront of them.

Manchester United fans call for David Moyes to be sacked after humiliating defeat to Liverpool
The Scot's debut season at Old Trafford hit a new low on Sunday and thousands of Red Devils' supporters have vented their frustrations across the web

Manchester United manager David Moyes must be thinking things can't get much worse after his side were dismantled by Liverpool on Sunday.

One saving grace for the Scot would have been the fans sticking by the side until the final whistle but on this evidence, many have given up on their beleaguered boss.

Across a series of United blogs and forums, thousands of fans think it is time for him to go, clearly agreeing with this furious chap's damning verdict.

After scouring the web, we have compiled just some of the posts and it doesn't make for pretty viewing for under-pressure Moyes.

The Republik of Mancunia
One forum on the site, named #HasMoyesresignedyet? has had over 2000 replies, with most flooding in after yesterday's final whistle.

However, particularly remarkable is the fact it was set up on May 9 2013, THE SAME DAY the Scot was appointed - with some clearly feeling he isn't up to the job.

Here are just some of the angry posts from devastated Red Devils:

"I say he should go right now this very second, he is a disgrace to all things United."

"WE all know he is s***, the players know he is, He knows he is , SAF, Bobby, the board know he is but nothing will be done and i am just dragging myself to one game after another with no sight of light at the end."

"I have supported Moyes through this dreadful season. But enough is enough now. He and these so called players are simply bereft of ideas!"

"This, to me, is acceptance that he can not do the job. It's simple. Quit then. It's like an electrician doing a doctors job."

Stretford End arising

One of the most famous United fan sites has also continued the condemnation of the boss, whose position is becoming increasingly under threat.

"He is not for me. Said it from day one and I have seen nothing to change my mind."

"Personally i would get rid now before he can do any more damage."

"I know that not every manager is available but I find it hard to believe that there are only three managers better than Moyes. I think he is completely out of his depth."

"The results aren't even the problem here with Moyes, there's no Plan B, there's not much of a Plan A either. I can't think of one redeeming feature to be honest"

Dejected: United's season has hit unparalleled lows in recent times

Red Rants

"So as Moyes continues to dig a bigger hole for himself with each passing week, who amongst the board is going to have the courage to step out of line and say "we've made a mistake so let's correct it"?

"He simply hasn't got what is required to be manager of this great club and the sooner the powers that be realise that and do something about it the better."

"You job now is to back the manager" Moyes' appointment was a disastrous decision. Possibly Fergie's worst ever signing. Before a ball was kicked he looked and sounded like a man out of his depth."

The Busby Babe

"I think if he has to win at least one of Olympiakos and City to be here next season. If we lose both (Both games are at OT) I think his position becomes untenable."

"United have become dull as dishwater under Moyes."

"Again, the only thing that we should be focused on is Sack David Moyes. That really is the only thing that matters now. Get rid of this PIECE OF GARBAGE manager."

Ahahahahaha. Fucking hell. Maybe if we lose the title on the last day of the season, like we did against Arsenal, then maybe I'd cry. Doubt it like.

HAHAHAHAHA.

Well, I'm backing Moyes and his boys for the rest of the season.

Form is temporary, class is permanent.Hope they go on a real run of form and now and grab that elusive 6th spot.

[article=http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/david-moyes--manchester-united-6841522]What is most uncomfortable for some supporters is Moyes' lack of answers.

His assessment of the defeat to Liverpool amounted to 'They played well, we didn't'. If he knows how to fix it, he isn't giving anything away.

It led to some awkward exchanges in his post-match press conference.

Journalist: “We're in March now and Manchester United have beaten one team in the Premier League's top nine, do you think that is part of a wider pattern?'

Moyes: “What's the pattern? I don't understand the pattern bit of it.

Journalist: “The pattern is that Manchester United haven't beaten the top clubs.

Moyes: “I understand that part of it.”

Journalist: “But is it part of a wider pattern, or is it just coincidence?”

Moyes: “It tells you that we're not doing as well as we should be. It's as simple as that. We have to play better and make ourselves harder to beat. We're also going to have to make sure we're creating more and taking more of our opportunities. We've got a lot to do.”

Here's another.

Journalist: “Do you worry about the support waning? You've lost to Liverpool, you've got City coming and Olympiacos, really big games. It might test their patience, does that concern you?”

Moyes: “Well, I thought you'd be writing about how good the supporters were today. It was unbelievable the backing they gave the team. I would have thought the question would be, 'how good were the supporters?”

Journalist: “But the point is, are you worried that might evaporate?”

Moyes: “Results dictate that, and I can only tell you what I've seen today. And the supporters were fantastic today.”

Moyes has reached the point where he has to mention the fans after every game for fear of losing them. But it's going to take more than words.[/article]

At the end of that, the poor sap goes and destroys the very point he's trying to make by saying "results dictate" whether their support will evaporate.

As so many have said, long may it continue.

Moyes can't give straight answers because he doesn't have them, hes a one dimensional dinosaur who only knows one way, hes completely blagging it and making it up as he goes along, as someone who is well out of their depth would do, its either that or resign.

As bad as Moyes been, he is not as bad as the nightmare that was Hodgson. We were 12th and 4 points off relegation when he was sacked. It would be the equivalent of Man U doing a Norwich this season.

So all I wanna say is that relatively speaking, Moyes is indeed a genius. Please keep him at Man U till it gets Hodgson bad!

Sir Alex Ferguson tears into bitter rivals Liverpool in his new autobiography, claiming Brendan Rodgers is 'eight players short of becoming genuine title contenders'.

Ha ha, the fool.
