Moyes, the pundits and the wider world have accepted that the Moyes Miracle won't happen and they will not make the top four this season, but how low will they go?

5 Tottenham 30 -1 53
6 Everton 28 12 51
7 Man Utd 29 12 48
8 Southampton 30 6 45
9 Newcastle 29 -3 43

Remember 5th & 6th will make the Europa League next season

Not sure about "should" TBH. They may well, but inconsistencies in the teams below ManUre will see them finish where they are now IMHO.

Well if they lose on Wednesday, then I wouldn't be surprised if they go into a real slide. Their best players will be so pissed off AND much more interested in the World Cup, and their lesser players will dread getting any more flak, so psychologically they'll be the most fragile of all the top eight teams. I can really see them missing out.

They're no threat to us so I couldn't give a fuck how or where they finish now.

Hope they can somehow get a result against City next Tuesday though.

Don't think they will drop much further. They're still a good team.

Are they though? Evra looks very jaded, Jones looks mental, Vidic will now have his mind on his move, Rafael is shockingly inept. So the defence is poor. They boot the ball over Mata so he's not much help in midfield. They've two forwards who still might pinch some points but they'll be playing against teams desperate to survive in the league or ones that are battling for Europe. I doubt their fans feel optimistic about stopping the slide at this stage.

It's relative, of course. They're not as good as we expect them to be but they're still a lot better than most of their opponents in their remaining fixtures.
They also have the money to turn this around next season, so I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Annoyingly, they're so bad that they'll probably sack Moyes and bring in a decent manager in the summer, which might limit the damage.

If they have any sense, they will get Klopp.

Its now at the stage where we really should be wanting them to do allright till the end of the season, if they completely fall apart in the last 9 games then it only strenghens the chance for Moyes to go, also we could do with them having a moral boosting victory against City, they wont though, they will get bummed, again.

7th, 62 points.

Even if they do have a shed load of money to spend they've got a massive rebuilding job to do, so many players that need replacing. I don't think they'll get shut of Moyes. Imagine him spending £100m. It's fucking funny.

Can't help but respect the man for being so committed to football after so many years. To bad he's supporting a pile of shite.

Just found this as well. Fuck me, seniors really don't like Moyes. They want one of their own in the management role.

Haha, loved that. He was actually quite articulate in his rage... very well said man!
