Lyrics based on the Cadbury's Fudge ad for those of a certain age:

A zinger from Studge is just enough to give the Kop a treat
A zinger from Studge is just enough to lift me from my seat
He's full of skilful goodness
With the football at his feet
A winner from Studge is just enough to make sure the Reds ain't beat

Ha. I like that! Last lyric is a bit long, but I like it.

That's a boss call.

Catchy, easy to sing, good chorus.

He's a believer, he is a leader.

Then I saw him play, now I'm a believer!

I'm shit at doing lyrics so won't try, but there's loads of room for potential there, & his obsession with his imaginary man in the sky makes it suit perfectly.

Long train after a BBQ today, I had to give it a go:

We found Stugs and brought him here in January
Soon the goals were coming thick and fast
Studge rides the wave, do doo, do doo
We can misbehave, do doo, do doo
Win or lose we’ll always have a blast

Then I saw his pace, now I'm a believer
F***in’ Ace, I’m outta my mind
This is Stugs, Ooohh I'm a believer
Chills & Fever when I see him fly

Best yet IMHO but there's too much to remember for it to be a practical proposition at the game.
Cheers, it was more of a reply to FFS's post than something I thought would work with a crowd, so yeah, it's a tad long(I just loved that chorus as a Kid). I still get the name order wrong in "We've got the best midfield in the World" when I'm seducing the wife.

[article=http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/440661/EXCLUSIVE-Jack-Wilshere-and-Daniel-Sturridge-The-England-likely-lads-made-in-Bolton]“For me he was the nearest thing to Nicolas Anelka,” said Kevin Davies. “He reminded me of him in that he would slow down, and then there would be a sudden change of pace and he would be gone.

“He knows when to shoot, when to pass and he was one or two steps ahead of people. He has just got it.

“Left foot, right foot, header – he can score a variety of goals and there were times when you would have to ask, ‘Which is his strongest foot?’ Sometimes you get a player who comes in and you’re not actually sure which is their best foot – he was one of those players. At times, it just seemed a little bit too easy for him.

“I don’t think he came to us with any doubts about himself, but it was difficult for him to become a regular first-team starter at Chelsea.Sometimes you just have to go out and play to get your confidence back up.

“To be honest, he is not the type to have any doubts about himself, but I mean that in a good way. We still exchange text messages and I’m pleased he is doing so well. He enjoyed it at Bolton and you can see he is in a happy place right now at Liverpool.”[/article]

Well now we all know which footballer is best at Call of Duty. Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge stormed to victory in a celebrity CoD tournament in London last night to celebrate the release of the latest installation of the popular video game series.
His England team-mate Andros Townsend didn't fare so well, recording a kill-to-death ratio of just 1/29, which saw him knocked out in the first-round.
Other celebrity players included rapper Wretch 32, England rugby player Tom Croft, and magician Dynamo, who all went head-to-head in the star-studded tournament.
But it seems nobody could match Sturridge's talent, who had a point to prove after his Liverpool side lost 2-0 to Arsenal at the weekend.
Call of Duty fans applied on Twitter to play on a celebrity squad by explaining to their captain of choice why they should be chosen.
In a tense final streamed live on the CoD site, Sturridge won 13-11 against Tina Palacios, an avid player and the game developers' own senior community manager.
He said: "I had nothing to do with that win, to be honest. I was at the bottom of the team the whole way. The team won the game, so fair play."
His opponents, meanwhile, produced a parade of excuses.

Townsend blamed his loss on a broken hand suffered during a match against Hull City, joking: "I'm not going to blame my wrist, but if I hadn't been injured then we would have won."
Leicester Tigers player Tom Croft said his controller had run out of batteries, while rapper Wretch 32 claimed his headset had malfunctioned and that he was colour blind.
Croft, whose early-game kill streak gave way to endless deaths as he respawned repeatedly into his enemy's crosshairs, admitted: "I'm a tourist, really. It's so violent, this game!
"I do blame the fact that I didn't have the chance to play the game beforehand, learn all the maps and everything. I've got all the excuses."
P.S. Watch this video of Daniel Sturridge on GREAT form saying that he's fed up of playing CoD online against people who blare music down their microphones:

Don't forget to watch the video. I know he's taking the piss but he kinda comes off as a tad cocky.

I don't think you've quite got the handy of "songs" at football grounded Dreamy...
