Post Match Fulham (H) 2-2 Dec 14th

Alisson : 8 (only the one save to make)

Robertson : 3 (too slow for their goal and a terrible Red.
Virgil : 8
Gomez : 9 (superb at LB)
Trent : 5 he is just NOT a FB. I'm not actually sure what he is. It was like watching greyhounds get passed by the rabbit at a race meet. Except he didn't then run after it.

Gravy : 9 (superb everywhere) MotM.
Szobo : 5 lots of energy zero end result
Jones : 6 very silly Yellow.

Salah : 4 (and that includes +1 for the assist) he was absolute crap again and messed up almost everything he tried.
Diaz : 6
Gakpo : 6 (inc. +1 for the goal)

Subs
Quansah : 5 (confidence shot)
Jota : 9 made a real difference and a sublimely taken goal
Elliott : 8 also made a difference
Nunez : 7 (lovely spot and pass to Jota = +1)

Slot : 9 (guts)
Harsh on Szobo and Robbo deserves a 1. He did fuck all.

Great show or character. Morale and confidence building result. Lots of ups and downs this season.

Robbo has cost us a few goals already this season. Questions to be asked

Gravy - Absolutely exceptional. Joe - Outstanding. Ali - Best keeper in the world. Jota - Wonderful to have a striker who actually scares defenders again. Harvey - Fantastic, needs a start midweek.

Trent - You can keep on jogging all the way to Madrid, son. Mo - That performance was everything I've been saying about him this past two years... His cross was glorious. His greed hurt us. Young Quansah - Wow, he looks terrified to be out there...

We missed Macca today.

Never a positive to drop points at home, but under those circumstances... We should have lost it, we could have won it, but we're in a far better spot that I expected at 9:21am, my time. We showed great heart to not cave, twice, and I loved how Arne kept tinkering until he found a formation that would work for us. We're all disappointed right now, but that point might be huge, come the spring.

I’d still go Endo over Gravy to save Gravy for Fulham. I think this could be Kelleher’s last game in the top competitions until Ali is injured again.

Kelleher

Trent
Quansah
Virgil
Gomez

Endo
Slobby
Mac

Salah
Diaz
Gakpo

Save Jones and Robbo for Fulham too.

That should be enough to keep us top of the league and guarantee top 8.
This is the side I would’ve had against Girona which I adjusted once I knew Mac was out.

EVERYONE knew overplaying Robbo would lead to a horrific performance. Today we saw it in all its glory. Pre-season I said LB was our weakest position and needed to phase out Robbo.

Enough of that negativity and I told you so bollocks.

Gravy was pehenominal. I thought van Dijk and Gomez had tricky moments and ended up our better players. I absolutely adore fit Jota. Elliott has the heart of a Lion.

I won’t go on to the rest of the forwards or Trent dopey muthafucker Arnold.

The fans that chant Nunez when he gets yet another moronic yellow card (or makes an idiotic tackle that doesn't make any contact), and shoot when Gomez gets anywhere near the goal, need to be publicly flogged.

Virgil van Dijk: “I had conversations with the players of Fulham and we felt like the referee was nervous. He couldn't properly communicate with Robertson I felt. We can't put the blame on the referee. We all speak about protecting the referee but I couldn't speak to him. It shouldn't be a big thing because he isn't why we dropped points.”

“It is what it is. We take the points, recover quickly and be ready for the game on Wednesday.” (Sky Sports)

What more is there to say Virg?
That was definitely a red card.

I honestly don't feel Szobo contributed much bar a lot of energy and one excellent tackle in midfield. Could Elliott have done better? I think he may have.

I actually felt the Diop one was a red more the Pereria one.

The offside call may have saved Diop but that was a vicious tackle.

Err he made one? But yeah we should have hit the target more.
Yeah that's me misreading the stats. More annoyed. The fact leno had 2 saves to make is falling. 16 shits, only 4 on target? Fucking woeful
