I tend to think with international footy there's often just weird quirks about who flourishes and who doesn't, and the only sensible thing is to just go with it. Foden just doesn't look right in an England shirt, otoh Palmer looks like the best player in the team every time he plays. It's just tough - Foden doesn't deserve to play, no matter how 'talented' he is.

I always used to think the same about Gerrard, tbh. Everyone knew he and Lampard didn't work, yet nobody had the balls to drop one of them. For me Lampard was better for England than Gerrard so just drop Gerrard.

I don't like football talk shows or discussions unless someone like Rafa, Wenger, Mourinho, or Klopp is involved. You can see the debate evolve to a new level when someone with accurate insights on the game is a part of the discussion. I don't like the old boys' club banter, information on what happened in the locker room, which is often one-sided. These are all a race to the bottom.

Who knows really if he was a spurs fan. I supported Derby county cos I liked goats as a kid. And Ipswich because it rhymes with light switch. I kid you not. 😆

And then at the age of 7 my brother bought a poster of Kenny Dalglish (arms in air) and announced he was supporting Liverpool. Changing from Man United. I said no you’re not, I am. An argument ensued, he gave up and I became a Liverpool supporter.

He went on to support arsenal…

Anyway I like Keane but he’s a moaning whinger half the time.

As an aside. Apparently our schoolboy team played against his u15 team in the 80s!
