Very impressed with him now. He was excellent yesterday - very versatile, too, which could be invaluable in the future and I love his readiness to bring the ball out of defence - one of the things we've been missing for ages.

Sakho as well, I love the fact that these two are such positive players. Almost always looking to play it up the pitch, suits our playing style to a t.

I give a lot of credit to Rodgers for crafting a spot for him in the team and believing in the big man by playing him in the back three. He has been a revelation and I don't even think that is going to be his position in the future but it has worked aces so far.

Exactly what I wanted to say, a lot of credit has to go to Rodgers, he really know how to handle young prospects in a way that brings forth all their strong attributes

Why are we talking about moving him out of the defence. It's no coincidence we've tightened right up since he moved there. And the way he's playing right now, I think we're actually getting more out of him from the back. Keep him where he is...but I've been telling you all that all along.
Yep. He's fine where he is in defence. If it ain't broke...
THAT pass was great last night though.

The bench recognises counsel. How goes the battle?

And yes, Donald Trump could do with that hair.
Well, your honor! They show the premier League on Saturday mornings, so that coupled with some Fifa 15 on the playstation mean that my boys are now fully converted into to little footy fans.

How goes it yonder?

We're not facing up to the most important thing about this lad.
How to pronounce his name. I've heard Can, Carn, Charn and Chan. Even BR called him Can after the game the other night.
He needs to come out and tell us definitively.
It's just not good enough.
Molby has forever been known as Molby because he didn't straighten shit out right away. In Danish it's pronounced Molboo.
Emre's letting his teammates down, his manager, down, the city of Liverpool down, but most of all he's letting himself down.
Appalling.

Someone with a Turkish GF posted on here when we signed Can that, if you want to be correct, his surname's pronounced "Jan".

That said, foreign players don't seem to be that fussed by and large. For example Deadly once said in an interview that he didn't really care.

It's a bit more complicated than that, 'coz the "y" sound in many European languages is one we don't have in English. The best way to arrive at it is to pucker up as though you're going to make the sound "oo", but actually try to make the sound "ee" instead. What you get is somewhere between the two, and "Molby" pronounced the English way is actually as close to the original as "Molboo" would be.

He was boss tonight most of the times against Lukaku maybe the odd time he was 2nd best but he'll be a force to be reckoned with.

You could tell Lukaku was targeting him, waiting for him to fuck things up; perhaps on instructions. But he stayed strong, good man.

I met some Turkish bird the other day and her name is Can. It is sort of pronounced Dzjan but Jan is pretty damn close.

Emre has much nicer hair than her.

So if Molby clarified his name he would have been booed every week?

Sounds like he did the right thing.

Anyway, Can is showing exactly why we when making signings we don't need ' inspiring' signings, statements of intent or any other grandstanding bullshit.

The part where he toyed with Lukaku was the best moment of the derby. I think Lukaku applauded him (and not sarcastically / cynically so) a moment later when play resumed. Or at least I would like it to be so, because Can was just awesome during that sequence.

Lukaku got one back later in the game when Can misjudged and was beaten for pace (for once). Still, that part above was brilliant.

Thought he was excellent once again.

Had Lukaku in his pocket for most of the game.
