Does it feel different this time?

We've had 7 managers since we won our last league title. Has Klopp given the feeling this time somehow things might be different and its not going to be another false dawn?

Benny won us the CL in his first season and it felt better than a motherf*****.
So yeah it's about the same, I guess.
It's definitely not the feeling I had when Hodgson, Kenny and Rodgers took over.

It feels different this time all right.
Pretty much the same as it felt different for nearly all the other managerial changes.

Everything and everyone feels so positive that I can't help but think it's gonna be a massive disappointment.

If we lose against Spurs - which I suspect we might - the media reaction will be interesting.

But this feels as good as it has done for a long time. I've generally been a little ambivalent towards our signings and managerial chanbges of late but this appointment has got all the juices flowing.

It may well amount to more of the same - I genuinely think it won't - but I'm loving it right now.

I was thinking about this earlier, it does feel a little like we are setting ourselves up for a massive fall.

It's like shoes at school, it feels like we finally have a pair of Rockport rather than Kickers.

Far better feeling than when Rogers took over; coz that meant Kenny's departure aswell.

It feels like now or never. If this guy fails to improve us then I don't know what will. Klopp can't be carrying this reputation based on just talking the talk. Can he?

To me it feels like it did when Hodgson was sent on his way and the King was brought in as caretaker - the sense that some very grey clouds have rolled away and anything is now possible.

In terms of a permanent appointment, I'll go as far as to say it's the most exciting I've ever known. High praise? Certainly, but when we had that conveyor belt of Shanks followed by Paisley followed by Joe Fagan the appointments themselves didn't feel exciting (though the subsequent titles and European Cups did), nor has any appointment since then brought this kind of feel-good factor with it, not in my experience anyway. And that's from someone whose first choice would have been Ancelotti.

Time will tell how it works out in practice, but I'll take such an optimistic start for now.
