Over the last few days I have kind of been thinking how odd it will be next season that certain things we knew were 99% due to occur may not happen anymore. Some good, some bad. Just thought i'd share, feel free to add things you will miss or are glad they will no longer be part of Liverpool FC

* Years and years of Andy Gray telling us about the virtues of Man Marking over Zonal Marking..... (thank christ for that)

* The disposal of 2 defensive midfielders and the 4231 (hopefully), how I long for a 442 system with 2 decent wingers and a central midfield pairing which pass and move like the old days..... Can we possibly have an attacking team again???

* A Manager who hopefully will treat the players as people and individuals. Someone who will bring a smile back to the club. Oh god how we need that. Gerrard with an arm round his shoulder may come back to where he was a year or so ago.

* A Manager who might bring through some different young talent! Do we have some unearthed gems in our youth already, I certainly hope so.

* Hopefully the media witchhunt will die down with a manager who does not react to media pressure. Someone calm who is not fazed by the craziness of the media nowadays.

* Some decent strikers to back up Torres, some players that are able to Attack!

* A Manager / coaching staff which let the players express themselves on the pitch (imagine how we can play, we know we are good enough when the chains are let off).

he'll just pick something else

new man might be worse and gerrard may be at real

with our finances he may have to do this out of necessity

there will be huge media attention on the new guy, even if that new guy is kenny

back up? they may be first choice if torres fucks off.

or may be more defensive

not saying the above will happen but it may get a lot worse before it gets better

Well each to their own of course, I guess Ive just been feeling that things are going to get better in some ways on the pitch.

At the end of the day, we still have the nucleus of a side which is CL quality. I know certain players will leave, but I dont believe Torres or Gerrard will this year.

At the end of the day, football is a simple game. Rafa overcomplicated our tactics, style of play to the 'N'th degree.......

Lets just get the ball down, pass it, move, and show what you can do on the pitch! (fuck me, I suspect half the team will be glad to not have Rafa bleating in their ear every 2 mins on the pitch).

I think there is no doubt that Rafa rubbed up many in the media the wrong way, and we may finally get more balanced punditry- and be saved tedious essays by Tompkins in the process. That's something we can all smile about.

Do you think a Liverpool manager will ever do that? Or is it wise to do that. As a LFC manager, don't pander to the sky based media, make a couple of sly remarks against some of the pundits. Couple with good on the field performance and sooner or later you start getting a cult like devotion from the Kop. LFC fans as a community love a person ostracized and criticized in the popular media. We just love an underdog.

who gives a fuck about how we are portrayed in the media, or whether we get treated in a "balanced" manner by the pundits? I'm not trying to pick on you, but honestly, why should we care about this?
