Proper punishments would be points deductions from the relevant seasons. If everything is above board now, I don't see how punishing them for something which happened years ago is remotely relevant. The other option, of course is what some journalists are spouting and relegating them to league 2 for financial impropriety, but thats more to do when an owner doesn't have money

I can see the UEFA ruling being allowed to stand tbh. They punished them once for the same time period, but city withheld information and evidence. If that doesn't get UEFA seething against the team that 1)boos their tune, and 2)doesn't even turn up to their games, i'd be surprised.

My take on the tile been awarded to us is, regardless of City been founded to have broken the rules I personally would not like to be handed the title because of that

The way i look at it is that I would have liked LFC to beat them to it. If they have cheated it was what inspired the club (LFC) to go on that run last season where we did not lose a game, the run that saw us not only win the CL and Super Cup, but win the WCC to and have seen us go on this long unbeaten run that now see us some 22 points clear of City and well on our way to becoming PL champions...

Without City we would not have been inspired to do this. So let them retain the titles they have won, and let LFC, Klopp and the players we will continue to set new levels of excellence that we are setting

They should also start next season off with a 20pt penalty.

Ok. If you don't want titles awarded retrospectively i can respect that. Although, I wouldn't have wanted last seasons title awarded had it been our first title.. But after winning it this year (as it looks like we will), i wouldn't mind another 2 titles given to us.. I think that will also mean another 2 to United too right? If so, then all is fair. Although United really shouldn't have the 2017/8 title cos the points difference between the 2 sides wasnt literally 1 game (as it was for us in 2014 and 2019). I mean, if you annul the results of the top 2 teams in those seasons. We win the league both years. United win it one season. In 2018 they are still miles behind.

Anyways, even if there is no retrospective stripping of titles, one thing is clear, action needs to be taken by the PL against them. Next season they should have a 10-20pt point penalty to start the season off. All the trophies they've won is through ill-gotten means, as has now been proven by UEFA. They would to a degree.. higher you finish in the league bigger share of the revenue you are likely to receive.. can between 2 to 4 million between each position in the league.. TV revenue may reduce with preference given to those fighting relegation and for a Top 5 place

Given they are going to lose income from no europe for the next two years this would be great..

However I fully expect them to receive a points deduction similar to the level we seen with Saracens in rugby, probably starting next season.. 20 - 25 points minimum I think..

They will get there UEFA punishment reduced to 1 year though, with 1 year suspended.. But the points reduction they may receive will mean a fight to get into the Top 4 next season

No, but rather that they like Juventus had in 2005/06 when they were demoted to Serie B Man City should be demoted to the Championship and just like Juventus they should also be docked 9 points as well...

It would mean that four will come up, giving one of the Championship team a chance and some extra money, but that would be a good thing right...

Bollocks. I'd love us to be retrospectively given the 2018/19 title. Imagine other fans going stratospheric ! Besides which since they will have cheated their way to the title, by buying and paying players they otherwise wouldn't have been able to afford, why shouldn't it be removed from their history .... as track and field athletes who used steroids in the 90's/00's are now having their Olympic medals taken away and given to those that competed without the use of stimulants.

I wouldn't have wanted us to break our 30 year hoodoo with a retrospectively awarded title but given that we are on pace to get this one at a canter and completely by merit, adding an extra 1 or 2 through regulation would be icing on the cake.
