We beat Man United twice last season, Arsenal once, Man City twice - once last season and once this season. Thats it. Everytime we have faced them in the cups we have lost.

I'd prioritise beating them in the league every time. Cups are the icing, not the cake.

I'm not particularly optimistic about it either way, I've got some faith in him but appreciate he's young and he's made mistakes. We *do* play some good football and last season was about the best I remember us playing since the late 80's, that's why I'm prepared to cut him some slack. With some posters on here he's on a hiding for nothing, regardless.

My point is that we don't beat them enough, cups or leagues. We lose 1 in nearly 6 games with them. He better work on improving that stat as otherwise we wont win anything.

We hardly ever beat top 4 teams under Rodgers. I think his record against the top 4 teams is something like 5 in 30 attempts. Maybe our poor performances in Europe and cups is not because Rodgers is shit in Europe. Maybe he is shit against teams with decent players and tactics.
