Newcastle started their season like this (ie form that took them 12 points clear) - we're finishing ours like it and it's the only way we're going to win the league this season. We need to sort the defence out next season but for this year it's too late for that reaslistically.

Oh and Newcastle crumbled because Ferguson got to Keegan and Rodgers' mentality is a bit above that I feel.

Newcastle had blown their lead and were playing catch up by the time Keegan had his lip tremble on tv, they were done by that stage despite the media narrative that makes out otherwise for Fergie glorification purposes
