Shame that we should concentrate on post match interviews instead of a glorious backs-to-the-wall away win at a relegation threatened team, and with 10 men. The game was exciting, incident packed with an enthralling finish.
But let's try to pick apart the comments and body language of a clearly frustrated Manager, eh?. Lets start with a question about penalty incidents and red cards and ignore completely the fine attacking play for our first half goals, and the sheer energy to continue attacking right through the 90 minutes and score a diving winning header and give Sky more publicity than they could ever generate elsewhere.
Lets ask that question despite Dalglish saying, just seconds before, that he wouldn't be answering questions about the incidents before he'd had time to review them on TV replay. And you wonder why he can't contain his annoyance?
It's because like the interviewer, the naysayers on here don't listen, they can't wait to criticise any aspect of the club at present because they've been (personally) disappointed.
Well I say, if you don't even like the thought of Dalglish now, don't watch his interviews. Simple enough, don't back your Manager, Team and Club just watch endless replays and see what further errors, tics and attitudes you can surmise. Pathetic.
That said, fantastic battling display from a young team who restored some pride last night and have given us some heart and impetus for the semi-final clash. I hope we can play with that spirit again at the weekend, we'll need it.
