Best season by a LFC player

I guess they're going by position.
Fabianski in goal is a bizarre 1. Only 1 player from the last 3 seasons is also strange.

Kante 15/16 over Gerrard
Virgil 19/20 over himself
Robbo 19/20 over Fuchs
Azpilcueta 16/17 over Trent
Literally anyone over Fabianski

Yep, that super season by Suarez was all in our heads...

I mean seriously none of the other players are even above 8, lol.

Read the comments, even fans of other teams were in awe of Suarez.

Strange that Van Dijk’s best season according to this was for Southampton - I’m pretty sure he was even better for us.

Yeah, and I like Fabianski, but come on, he shouldn’t even be in the conversation against the likes of Alli, Courtois and De Gea.

Since the XI features players from the same season like Suarez and Gerrard, I think they looked at the best avg ratings from every season going back 10 years, picked the keeper with the best avg, CB with the best avg etc.

Rurik mentioned Van Dijk:

Apparently that was his best season statistically according to Whoscored, not counting this one obviously.

Are the ratings contextualized by club? Is that why players like Fuchs and Fabianski rate high here - there's a difference between 7.0 at Fulham versus Liverpool?

Don't think so, they just picked the best rated left fullback.

We would have had to have won that Palace match by about 13 goals to have had it make a difference to the title... That is not the game that cost us the league. It was done when we lost to the chavs.

What really hurt in that game was that Chelsea played a rookie CB in that game, who i can't recall now and who I am certain never played in the PL again.

I remember, I think it was some Czech kid.

Yeah, but I imagine the ratings each week are somewhat scaled. ESPN does ratings and Neymar was getting 6.5 a few years ago when scoring hat tricks because expectations are different at top clubs
