i don't really like him but is he half as bad as you guys make out ? i mean spurs weren't really in a shocking position when they sacked him , they were just a few points off 4th.

He has talent IMO but has been promoted beyond his ability, at least beyond his current level of ability. It's possible he may grow into a manager who can hack it at a really top club, but it's also possible that he's just not up to that. IMO we won't be able to tell either way for some time yet.
This Zenit squad definitely needs rebuilding.

Caught their league game against 3rd from bottom side which they lacked attacking threat and creativity (drew 0-0). Failed to score in 3 of their last 5 league matches. AVB couldn't get Tottenham scoring earlier this season. Interesting to see if he can solve a similar problem at Zenit.

He's a better manager than he's given credit for in the media, while still not being all that. He brought Spurs to a record points total last year. I know he had Bale firing on all cylinders, they were still winning their games. I'd hazard a guess that his points per game average at Spurs is better then 'Arry or Sherwood. He's such an unlikebale twat though.

In principle he's no different to anybody in any occupation in that regard. In practice, not everybody would have the almost pathological degree of chutzpah he needed to try and take credit for building the team which won the Champions League.
