A very serious Mata

This is awful news.
He creates chances galore and United seem to take their chances when given.
It's terrible.

You know why I do respect those twats the Glazers? They fully realize how damaging non-CL football will be to them - and they're sanctioning a massive signing (if not more). They are refusing to let go of the possibility of getting 4th ...

We are 4th, still well within reach of 1st and our owners are dilly dallying. WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU HENRY? Give Rodgers 20-30 million and let us buy 2 quality players and get something done THIS season. 4th and up and we keep the best PLAYER in England, we are in the MONEY MAKING CL and we have returned to the BIG STAGE. 5th and lower, we lose Suarez and the Club will not have an opportunity like this for a while. SHOW US THE MONEY ... If not for the club you claim to understand and love, for the very VALUE of the business venture you got yourself into!

You'll find the Caps Lock key to the left of the keyboard. There seems to be a problem with it

4th just got a whole lot harder. And it was going to be a rocky run in anyway. I agree with LTW up there.

Dont know why everyone thinks Utd will suddenly be fantastic with Mata in the side.
Moyes has got a similar player in Kagawa that he doesnt know where to fit in.

65 mill £ on two signings that dont really adress the areas they need to strenghten.
Mata is a great player but either he or Moyes have to adapt.

Gutwrenching to see Chelsea sell him to Utd though. Incredibly stupid. He would have been fantastic in our team. Shame we dont have 40 mill to spend.

Theres 9 days left of the window mate.

He'll practically win games on his own. Not to mention making our trip there a lot harder.

And we're going to barely spend 10 million when the CL spot is there for the taking ... I'm sorry, I hope my pessimism is met with some humble pie in the coming days but I just don't see it ... Maybe @the_khl's return is a good omen for us

I'm not sure mate. Chelseas style was much more suited to his qualities.
He'll be a very good player for them but signing him doesnt suddenly make Utd favourites for 4th.

I'm still struggling with the idea Mata would want to go to Utd, unless the Real reports weren't true. Surely sitting tight until summer would have made sense, its not as if his place in the Brazil squad would be in question

Fourth is ours to lose,

Mata isn't going to stop Utd shipping goals of being overran in midfield. We are 6 points better off than them and we can go their and beat them.

Spurs are ourt big worry.

Yeah but where is the 20-30m going to come from ? like it or not, these owners aren't going to stump up their own money , we can only spend what the club generates itself and i don't suspect we have that money lying around .

New owners i say !!!!

His signing could be the boost in confidence the team needs , a bit like the Ozil signing at arsenal . For a number of reasons Utd need a big signing and it may change a hell of alot .

They're poor now but they could have Mata , Van Persie and rooney to add to this team . That will surely make a big difference.

We'll have to agree to disagree. He'll be supplying Rooney and/or Van Persie for the rest of the season as well as chipping in with goals himself. I wouldn't say they're favourites, but they have as good a chance as anybody else if they get everybody fit. We're hardly rock solid at the back, Spurs haven't impressed this season, and you'd think Everton will drop points somewhere. They have a real chance now. One I wouldn't be surprised if they took.

And yes, Chelsea and Mourinho are fucking nuts. Nobody will say so in the media, though, because they all have their noses up Mourinho's arse. Mata could score the winner against them next season in the Champions League final, and they'd still be saying this sale is a masterstroke from "the special one."
