I'm always wary of pacey wingers who play for counter-attacking sides. The first thing I look for to determine whether they'd make the step up is the level of technical ability (it feels like the easiest thing for your average fan at home to ascertain).
I've clearly not seen as much of Zaha as you guys but when I have he looks like one of those players that's never fully in control of what he's trying to do.
It's like the pace and (some) skill are there but the speed of thought and ability to execute are not. Take away the space he has at Palace and that's a big problem.
Am I way off base? Has he developed past this point?
He seems to have improved a lot this season, I think LTW posted some goals and assists stats which are quite impressive.
Anyway, he's had one big move that didn't work out, so when he leaves - possibly this summer - I suspect he might prefer to stay in London, with Spurs interested again (they were sniffing around last summer too).
