Really I think we are still lacking quality options for the wings, I would give Henderson or even Johnson a go( if Kelly continues to progress). Ideally I would like us to sign another real winger that can offer us some pace and width which I don't believe kuyt at the moment provides. Downing I believe will do a good job for us and even someone like nzogbia would be a decent option,he would provide good competition for the wingers already here and we could then also have downing on the right with them interchanging during the match. Our right back does get a lot of help form dirk there your right I won't complain about his work rate, but I think our starting right winger should provide more than defensive help and a great engine. Also nzogbia isn't world class but at the moment we don't really have a chance at the best available wingers so I think he could provide a little more for us going forward in the traditional wingers role.

Glock do you want to know why dirk runs all day its because he cant pass a simple ball to our players, he either over hits it or under hits it. He has got the worst touch for a so called professional footballer & is so slow that king kenny would beat him in a race, not to mention that his end product is disgraceful. So if your favourite player dirk dosen't run his ass off theres no point of him being in the team.Why do u think other quality wingers dont run as much as what KUYT does cause they dont fuck up simple things like he does. According to that line-up we've boosted our bench with around £85M worth of talent in the past two windows. That's something.

That said I believe Adam, Downing, Carroll and Agger will all start when fit.

Further more, Henderson started his career at RM and if you watched him play in general and against Hull its quite obvious that the lad can play anywhere in midfield a la Meireles, but maybe better at it because he has some pace. That combined with good vision and great technique I wouldn't be worried playing him anywhere. I'm sure he'll fill in a few roles this season and in turn allow Kuyt to see more game time at striker.

I pretty much agree with the sentiment of this, except I think Downing will force Maxi onto the bench before the season starts and I hope Agger will force Skittles out.

Also (and I doubt most people will agree) at the moment Flanno should be ahead of Kelly.

I know you're new but there is strong brigade of Kuyt can do no wrong. to be fair they had a point for the latter part of the season as he was a key player. I agree he should be used sparingly

Really I think we are still lacking quality options for the wings, I would give Henderson or even Johnson a go( if Kelly continues to progress). Ideally I would like us to sign another real winger that can offer us some pace and width which I don't believe kuyt at the moment provides. Downing I believe will do a good job for us and even someone like nzogbia would be a decent option,he would provide good competition for the wingers already here and we could then also have downing on the right with them interchanging during the match. We don't need to have our slow striker playing 50 games a season on the wings, up front his weakness are less obvious but on the wings he is our oppositions left back dream come true.

Kuyt is one of our most reliable players and also one of the longest serving in the team at this point in time. The lack of respect shown in this threat is cringe-worthy.

He's no world-beater but I'd easily prefer our Kuyt to United's Park for instance. Any top team needs a few teamplayers who's always giving their best in reliable and proper mannor.

Even in the year he was sulking under Rafa, 09-10, Judas scored 18 goals in 22 PL appearances; I won't count Roy Hodgson's time against him because he was utterly unsuited to playing like Bobby Zamora and Kuyt was shitter. One's a cunt though and the other is lovable loyal professional who has personality won me over to an extent (I don't consider him an automatic starter however I know he deserves a lot of games in a few positions, and is undroppable when he hits his purple patch). But still Judas > Kuyt at LW, RW, ST or any attacking position. I kind of agree Ross but I do think it's more complicated than that and I'm loathed to see managers over-complicate things, we've had enough of that. I do think that at home against lower teams we're able to push higher up the pitch with less fear of being caught on the break, whereas against other sides we'd be cannon fodder employing the same tactics.

you can trivialise hoome advantage but it's definately a major factor, itt's the reason teams want to play their second leg at home in cup competitions. I've seen top teams dominated by inferior teams away from home. yes, in an idea world you'd play your own game but I definately think away from home you need to quiet the crowd first and then earn the right to play your own game. you're arguing with me now but the reality is you'll see how difficult away games are compared to home games the second the new season kicks off.

kuyt is a top player, a top pro and an excellent striker but I don't think he is a right midfielder or rather I don't think he should be played at right midfield and I absolutely think he should be benched when he is in a slump which hardly ever happens.

through the middle I think kuyt is superb though, I though he gave a masterclass of hold up play away to chelsea. so let kuyt fight it out with carroll up front and let someone who is going to stretch teams and provide width play at right midfield.

That being said, you've summed it up nicely. Kuyt, like all players, has some deficiencies but he more than makes up for it. He will rightfully continue to be a part of our 1st team, and will hopefully win a trophy or two before retiring a Red.

Really I think we are still lacking quality options for the wings, I would give Henderson or even Johnson a go( if Kelly continues to progress). Ideally I would like us to sign another real winger that can offer us some pace and width which I don't believe kuyt at the moment provides. Downing I believe will do a good job for us and even someone like nzogbia would be a decent option,he would provide good competition for the wingers already here and we could then also have downing on the right with them interchanging during the match. We don't need to have our slow striker playing 50 games a season on the wings, up front his weakness are less obvious but on the wings he is our oppositions left back dream come true.

Our right back does get a lot of help form dirk there your right I won't complain about his work rate, but I think our starting right winger should provide more than defensive help and a great engine. Also nzogbia isn't world class but at the moment we don't really have a chance at the best available wingers so I think he could provide a little more for us going forward in the traditional wingers role.

Glock do you want to know why dirk runs all day its because he cant pass a simple ball to our players, he either over hits it or under hits it. He has got the worst touch for a so called professional footballer & is so slow that king kenny would beat him in a race, not to mention that his end product is disgraceful. So if your favourite player dirk dosen't run his ass off theres no point of him being in the team.Why do u think other quality wingers dont run as much as what KUYT does cause they dont fuck up simple things like he does. Also with this so called run of poor form, I don't think it can be called a run of poor form if it lasts 3/4 of a season, hes default status is "poor" and then he might have a few good games
