FWIW, I suspect we spoke to Klopp and he wasn't ready and then made a conscious decision to back Rodgers. I'd like to think so anyway. It would have been insane not to at least enquire given the manner in which last season finished. Rodgers also must have played the politics and handled the review very well, which is unsurprising. As has been said, he's better when he's backed into the corner and gives real answers rather than egotistical bullshit. Personally I think the owners are too savvy to be taken in for that. He's gone in there and cited club failings which have let him down - i.e last seasons transfer policy and his inadequate coaches, and managed to get another year on 'his' terms, even though the coaches were his anyway.

I mean in terms of his personal support.
If I want Rodgers out because I think LFC will be better off, then I think I'd be justified in wanting us to lose to achieve that wider end - if I thought it served that ultimate goal best. So whether I want Rodgers gone or not is dependent on what I want for Liverpool. I don't feel duty-bound to Rodgers to support him even against the interests of the club, and vice versa.
So Rodgers is irrelevant. Liverpool is what matters to me.

I think you have strengthened in almost all the positions you needed to. You will be stronger this season without question and are the team I most fear for top 4 place.

I think I actually agree with you. I'm beginning to annoy myself.
Neither Chelsea nor the Arse are sorted up front yet IMO. They're strong elsewhere but this could yet hurt them. The whole league will be tighter IMO.
