Hello Everyone
Well the day has finally arrived and judging from the comments posted - everyone is very excited about what this team of ours is going to do. I have to admit I think that this season I am experiencing more than the normal level of excitement, mainly due to the fact that I think we feel the team has unfinished business from last season in terms of proving to the supporters and the media that Liverpool are not a finished team on a declining curve. Like many of you I just want to get over last season by beating the fuck out of every one of those little teams that come to Anfield, and away at their home. I get the feeling that we have a good first team for now that we expect to beat the lower shite in the league. However, I must stress that everytime I felt like this last season we would go onto lose the game - I just hope BR knows what hes doing, and so far the signs from the last two games have been very good. My expected lineup is:-
Johnson----Skrtel---Agger----Enrique
--------------Allen-------Lucas-------------
----------------------SG----------------------
Downing---------Borini----------Suarez
Don't know if BR is going to start with Allen, but I suspect he trusts him enough to do so. Being that the game is away - what will interest me more is how BR reacts if we should go a goal down. My worry is that Clarke will prepare his team knowing the problems with our players he worked with last season, and this will work against us if we find that the majority cannot cope. But right now I am full of hope !!!!! -- please note that for many of you the team above contains the players that did perform in the main last season, and new players that BR has bought with just one bad apple from last season (not to me of course - I love the man Downing !!!! 😉).
