We're just a little bit Shit tbh..

I even thought Henderson was good. Him and Downing.

Suarez had an off day so we didn't score. If Gerrard had scored that pen we'd have won. If Sturridge was on for Shelvey it would have been done and dusted in the first half. There isn't a fundamental problem with tactics. It was just one of those nights.

I'd agree.

It's one thing not scoring (which rodgers has tried to rectify), but it's criminal to concede like we did.

Skrtel needs another run out.

Nealmac now you're being harsh on downing.

Downing deserves his starting place as he's been good recently. Your original comment was less than damming indictment of shelvey, and more a "well duh" comment.

Besides the fact shelvey isn't a winger is neither here nor there
Yeah. I didn't mean it like that. Downing has been one of our best players lately.

Borini has not shown anything as yet to show why he is ever in the team. I'd sell him off in the summer, unless he actually scores some goals, or shows something as to why we spent 10m on him.

Fair enough, he probably hasn't played enough for people to make a fair judgement as to how good or bad of a footballer he is. But in the little bit of game time he's had this season, he's been appalling.

At present, I much rather seeing Downing in the team than Shelvey. Kinda says it all really.

That's not altogether true. Shelvey was showing promise at the beginning of the season, then his form deserted him, and since then he's been used sparingly, and in unfamiliar roles. Ideally, youngsters would be allowed to find their feet in cameos, and in situations where there isn't undue pressure on them to perform. That hasn't been the case for Shelvey and Sterling, and I think both have suffered for it.

Yep, Borini needs to show a glimpse of why we paid £10 million for him, and fast. I've got time for Rodger's other signings, but so far he's looked every inch a Championship player struggling to make the step up.

Sterling has had a lot more game time, but only because he deserved it. He's gone off the boil now though. But Sterling's "cameos" in the early stages were a lot more promising than anything Shelvey has showed.

I don't think you can say only one player played well, then call it "just one of those nights"

We weren't good enough.

I think we might have had our focus on the decent fixture list ahead that should bring us into being top four contenders just as much as on that must win battle with WBA. I hate it when we loose focus. The talk upfront was about the line of games, as if these three points were allready in the pocket. Then you will en up with one of those nights, and that is far from good enough.

First Aston Villa now WBA..

Rodgers needs a Plan B against these sides...

In fact he needs a Plan B against most sides..

9 wins in the league so far this season... just aint good enough.

What is our record low points total in the Premier League ????

How about you just focus on fixing the site and getting rid of spammers? You've got enough on your plate there.

I don't think only 1 player played well. I watched the entire game and I thought enough players had a good game to win the game comfortably if we had taken our chances and the biggest misses fell to the player you would put your house on to score in those spots Gerrard.

Definitely just 1 of those days for me

Johnson was diabolical and had one of his worst performances for us dreamy

And suarez was largely ineffective. His magical touch deserted him on occasion

His finishing was rash and rushed but apart from that he still wokred his socks off never hid, won us a peno and generally dragged them all over the shop.
If that's him shite then I'd take him like that over any player for the rest of his career.

Suarez was hardly shite mate? Johnson?

Mate you have to be kidding me. Suarez has been poor for a month now (he's allowed off days after him carrying us before anyone starts) and That was the worst performance of GJs season. And he's my favourite player btw so I'm also biased.

He was fucking awful as was Enrique.

Downing, and at a push Henderson and Gerrard played ok.

I thought we were very poor overall.

I think that's pretty spot on.

For what it's worth and that's to Rodgers credit (at least some of it are) it's been a while we've looked this pedestrian. Far far far to many pedestrian Liverpool performances at Anfield over the past Seasons and this was like being brought back to one of those dire nights.

We have had some good home performances of late, but I assume we are not overspoilt of good Fortress Anfield performances this season either. From the top of my head we had poor home shows against Arse, Stoke, Reading, Swansea (cup?), Castle, Sainsts and Villa before monday night. The issue of our inconsistensy lies deep and we need to adress it.

Therein lies the crux of the matter. Why are we so mentally fragile? Thankfully, Rodgers and the shrink have worked (relative) wonders with downing and hendo. Ideally he'll move to borini and Agger next

Borini definitely needs some mental coaching. He definitely has something good going on, but it's just not getting out.

Agger, on the other hand, needs something more.
