Exactly. Quite apart from the fact that Sturridge has been excellent since he's arrived, his injury meant we're playing without a striker in the box again. To compound that, Rodgers played the immobile Shelvey in "behind" Suarez meaning we had zero presence in the box despite tons of possession.

He should have just played Borini/Sterling/anyone through the middle and let Suarez buzz off him.
