I seem to remember Sinclair ripping Johnson apart in our game against Swansea.
Then again, that doesn't necessarily tell us a whole pile about the lad.

Ok, is this the same Scott Sinclair we're talking about? The one who's started 18 of Swansea's 20 PL games this season, and scored 5 goals? Granted I've not seen him play more than 2-3 times (when he's looked very pacy and dangerous), but I'm not sure of any of the above is accurate. I might be missing something as I've admittedly not seen him play week in and week out.

But he was Swansea's player of the season, and scored 27 goals for them last year (know it's the championship, but that's bloody impressive for a winger).

As for not being quick, or being able to beat a man, I really don't know. He's looked pretty quick and dangerous the few times I've seen him play. Youtube reveals this:

If he has indeed played 20 games he has scored 1 goal from open play in that time. And he has no defensive duties. Are we not riddled with non goalscoring midfielders.

I think he'll be a good buy. We will still need that 'world-class' player Ryan talks about and Hoilett definitely isn't that - but neither is he a 'stop-gap signing' in the way that I see Downing. He'll bring pace and directness to our play and he's good at opening teams up with through balls.

He should be less than 7-8M which will represent very good value in the long run.

Well, we need pacw and directness in the side. At 21 Hoilett can turn into a helluva player. We need to sign players like him.

We need world class like Ryan says, but pwe're also buliding for the future. What I've seen of Hoilett is more than good enough to earn a first team place from the start.

If sign him and a striker I can see Kuyt or Maxi moving.

I think kuyt will be moved on in the summer and possibly the winter if a good offer comes in for him.

Yup, dont think Kuyt will be here for next season,unfortunately.
 
Would sitting on the bench in most games make Kuyt want to go. He's still in the Dutch squad, but will he keep his place going in to the Euros unless he's playing week in, week out.
