Weekends other games

I have had visions of us waiting, having beaten Newcastle convincingly for the West Ham game to finish, City leading 2-1, & Carroll scoring header from a corner in the last minute to equalise whilst we watch in the harry, for ages, even when we were top of the league.

That would be insane.

Indeed, I've been thinking that as well. Isn't it usually how we do things?

I just wanted to write LIKE aswell.

Imagine the scenes at Anfield

Why are we all making up ridiculous scores against Palace?

Chances are we'll draw. They are playing really well currently and it's in London, not Anfield.

Of all the last four fixtures this is now the most difficult. Prior to the loss to Citeh last week they won the last five on the bounce.

We're not going to win the title on goal difference. I thought Everton would get something today, but it's not the end of the world. They still have to win 2 matches without Aguero in the team. We shouldn't give up hope just yet.

Aguero has tweeted he's fit and the substitution was only a precaution. Silva is clearly fit enough again too.

Guys, it's over. Very, very sad but this is still our best season for 20 years or more!

So it is now decided:

UEFA Champions League: Citeh, Chelsea & Liverpool (Group), Arsenal (Play-off)
Europa League: Everton (Group stage), Spurs (Play-off), Hull (Q3 Round)

They were toothless against City last week, and looked very static. We are not Chelsea when it comes to attacking and scoring goals, and they are not Chelsea in terms of the way they defend or their overall ability to defend. They do have pace in their squad but I think we can really take it to them. We will create chances, and if we score those chances we can get the goals we need, and put City under pressure.

People go on about the impossibility of running up the score against Pulis teams, as if he's some footballing god of defending or he builds defences rivaling Arrigo Sacchi's Milan teams of the late 80's / early 90's.

Not that his reputation of being able to build a sound, hard-to-beat team is undeserving, but he's not larger than life. His Stoke teams - which are arguably miles ahead of his Palace team in terms of depth and quality - let in 3 goals an average of 3 to 4 times a season, and have been battered for 4 or more in the league almost twice every season bar 2007/2008 and 2011/2012.

Granted, almost every time they've been beaten badly, it's been away from home. It does show though, that while it doesn't happen often, it's not inconceivable that they could let in 4 or 5.

Apparently Ben Arfa lamped Pardew yesterday aswell.

If they're practically giving him away after that I'd be interested.
Really like him and Rodgers could get the best out of him. Injuries and wages will make that impossible though.

Remy is at the Emirates today. Talk of a 12 mill transfer

Ben Arfa seems like a bit of a headcase and apparently the Newcastle players dislike him because he doesn't work hard enough in tracking back.

I'd prefer to avoid.

Gonna watch Chelsea totally spank Norwich 0-0 at Stamford Bridge. Hazard on the bench, Azpilicueta missing from the squad (injured?).

Switched to a non-English stream in some unknown tongue to me. So much better than listening to English commentators basically rooting for Chelsea to score.
