wank window

We got a couple of players so early they could go on tour and really get integrated. We strengthened the defence. We added to the midfield in a creative, attacking sense. And we fought against player power magnificently. Yes, it wasn't perfect and we still need to improve, but I really can't see any realistic justification for moaning. Quite the opposite, really, Rodgers has come out of it enhanced and FSG have at least tried to deliver in terms of high quality recruitments. We're not in Europe in a World Cup year - that undermined us from the start. Butt we fought back surprisingly well.

sky reporter saying that Rogers has said there still may be a fourth new face in by the end of tonight.

If people don't think we've improved considerably as a squad this window, then people are idiots.

I'm commenting on their performance so far. If we had to wait 6 months before having an opinion we'd have fuck all to talk about.

That's not what I meant, I mean in the space of a couple of games, things can turn on their head. Once a couple of them get going we might have a few good players on our hands, and hopefully we'll be incorporating that from a position of strength, rather than throwing them into the team out of desperation (cf Sterling).

There was point to the troll, we don't need to sign Victor (although it would be nice) we've had a great window and people nice to stop being hysterical.

It was shit and pointless. I think we've had a decent window, but would have been excited to see an exciting signing- who fucking wouldn't?

The point was Skully is crying like a baby because we've not signed a marquee signing and as such have had a shit window, which is complete bollocks.

I look forward to being challenged to a fight or some other form of physical confrontation by him now.

At the start of this window we thought we were losing Skrtel and DEFINATELY losing Suarez.

We have signed
Mignolet - Cracking keeper for years to come
Kolo - The new Carragher, experience and class
Aspas - Ok....im not sure on this one, hopefully he does the business for us
Luis - Young and potentially a big player for years to come
Cissokho - Strong experienced back up to challenge Enrique
Moses - Mercurial wide man with premier league expereince and bags of skill
Sakho - World renown centre back
Ilori - highly rated centre back.

And kept Skrtel and kept our best player Suarez. One of the best players in the world.
In the last 10 months we also added Sturridge and Coutinho, two of the best players in the premier league.

I cant help but be disappointed that we didnt bring in a worldy, but we did great business. We shored up our leaky backline that cost us loads of points last year. Now hopefully we have a squad to compete. We certainly have a great spine in
Mignolet
Sakho
Agger
Gerrard
Suarez
Sturridge
Coutinho

whats the deal with loans? can we still send people out, we know Rodgers wanted Wisdom to go out and it looks like we have too many central defenders

I think it was a good window, not great.

PLaying in only 3 competitions may mean that our lack of depth upfront will not hurt us.

If we start with Coutinho - Suarez and Sturridge, we only have moses, sterling and aspas as decent back-ups. As back ups, they don't instil much confidence and don't bring variety to the side, but the odds of all the main front three being unavailable at the same time should be low.

My biggest concern is Coutinho - if he loses form or has an injury, I struggle to see who will thread the passes and help create chances. Suarez dropping deeper maybe the answer?

Sterling, Ibe, Aspas, Henderson and Alberto are fantastic backup options, our first choice four are also one of the best in the league, in my opinon only just behind City and Chelsea, on a par with Arsenal and maybe United.

Better than having them in the stands paying 170k a week

Of course it is, but it's not better than not having them in the stands on 170k a week and sold for less of such a massive loss. Downin yeah, but carol was let go cheap by at least a few million.

is anyone else fucking miffed that we were after willian for 30 mill (or were we?) and we've ended up with fucking moses on loan. all the other transfers have just been the usual roundabout fodder.
I'm over the moon.

We have kept Suarez, nothing could match that
We have brought in a cracking wide player to replace Downing with Moses.
We have addressed CB issue superbly.
We have addressed the GK issue superbly.
We have brought in another creative ,hard working intelligent player in Aspas.

The only place we didn't strengthen is CM but we have Gerrard, an ever improving Henderson, Allen and Lucas.

You can't have everything.

So ya I'm over the moon. 3 games 9 points, top of the league, no goals conceded, a striker in crazy good form, the best player in the league to return, UTD beaten at home.

On top of the world right now!
