Roberto Di Matteo has emerged as a shock candidate to replace Brendan Rodgers at Liverpool, according to reports.
Rodgers was sacked on Sunday evening after the Reds drew 1-1 with rivals Everton at Goodison Park and the club are now on the hunt for a replacement.
Di Matteo, who was Chelsea boss when they won the Champions League in 2012, has not had a job in management since resigning from his position at Schalke in May.

Sky Sport Italia, the Reds are considering bringing the 45-year-old to Anfield to replace Rodgers.
Such a move would be a huge shock following
reports that ex-Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has already signed a three-year deal at Liverpool.
