John Carver is in danger of eclipsing Nigel Pearson for tube-like behaviour. His post match interview was awful - 'I wish my players had the fight that I have'. He's the fecking manager, they've been shambolic in every sense since he took over, and all he can manage to do is excuse himself because he's got 'fight'. In a way he's the perfect Newcastle manager - like the fans, he's utterly delusional whilst patting himself on the back for his 'passion' and 'fight'. I'm surprised he didn't leave the ground at half time, like 'the best fans in the world' often do.

Yeah, the comment about Williamson trying to get sent off so he didnt have to play was bizzarre.

Maureen taking a dig at Pep ... He never ceases to amaze.

[article]”For me I’m not the smartest guy to choose countries and clubs. I could choose another club in another country where to be champion is easier.

“I choose a club where I was happier before and a country where you are happy before. I took a risk. I am so, so happy because I won another Premier League title 10 years after [my first] in my second spell at the club.

“I was champion at every club I coached. I came to Inter, Real Madrid and Chelsea. Every title is important, to win the title in Spain with 100 points against the best Barcelona ever was a big achievement that I enjoyed so much.

“Maybe in the future I have to be smarter and choose another club in another country where everybody is champion. Maybe I will go to a country where a kit-man can be coach and win the title.

“Maybe I need to be smarter but I still enjoy these difficulties. I think I’m at the right place. I’m here until [Chelsea owner Roman] Abramovich tells me to go.”[/article]

Thought that myself as I looked at him, ermmmm that's YOUR job?!

Zackly. Carver's yet another in the long line of coaches who may be OK in that role but don't have what it takes to step up to the top job.

A mate of mine who supports Derby County reckons the Toon are defo after McClaren to take over.

Can Newcastle lose 11 on the bounce ? Has it ever been done before ?

Last three : WBA (H), QPR (A), West Ham (H).

Yet another example of why Managers should avoid interviews directly after a defeat. Make an excuse and take time out to compose yourself or send out a spokesperson.

Yeah, but they've been very jammy in that typical Arsenal way. The second goal ballooned off in another direction after hitting a defender's heel. I really, really, hate the gunners.
